It make me dance alone, and I am 83. Feeling like 18 in spite of painful legs. What rythm!
  • 51 years old now, been a fan since my first year in high school at 14 years old and friends used to say I listened to "Old people music" well I'm old now, and it still sounds better than what my kids listen to on the radio.

I play bass. Melvin owns the bass. When you can groove while playing AND sing the line you are world class. What a group of magical musicians.

I knew Lee Ritenour since my first year in collage.....now I'm 72 years young.....no wonder.....he is a maestro. Since then I became a jazzy dog.....😊
  • On June 26, 1934, Dave Grusin, an American jazz composer and pianist, was born. He is also known for composing film scores. He received several awards, among others the Oscar for best score in 1989 for the soundtrack of the film The Milagro Beanfield War (Rebelião em Milagro) by Robert Redford, with the Brazilian Sônia Braga.

My Dear God, if more people would listen and pay attention to this type of music and look at and just watch these great artists think where we could be.

This is the old school way that "Smooth Jazz" is done.  Neo-Classic!

The band: Melvin Lee Davis - bass, Sonny Emory - drums, Dave Grusin - keys, Lee Ritenour - guitars.
  • I saw Lee and his awesome band a few days ago in Phoenix. They were very good! His son, Wesley, played the drums. He is excellent! I could listen to him all night. Melvin and Dave were awesome as well! One of the best concerts ever!
