Metallica: Lux Æterna (Detroit, MI - November 10, 2023)

I was at this show. What makes it more sentimental to me, is that this was my first show, and I saw Metallica on my 72nd season.

42 years on the road and still killin’ it every night. Long live to this guys. We need ‘em. See You again in 2024!

Kirk caught a lot of flack for this guitar solo but I personally think it’s perfectly fitting for this song. Pure punk rock attitude!

the voice of jamz is like wine, he sound so raw and energetic and clean on both albums and live!! they are whipping the floor of so many bands still.

First Metallica concert. Was everything I imagined it would be for 27 years.

Incredible. My wife and I were there for both shows. Literally 1 year ago, a random Cyber Monday in 2022, my phone started blowing up while on a work meeting. BOOM. New album, new song, tour announced out of nowhere, what a day. Working on Chicago tickets for next year. The journey started with Metallica at 14 years old in the fall of '88. First Metallica and live show in general 6 months later, Damaged Justice tour in March of '89. Fast forward 35 years, have now seen them 13 times in 5 decades. Here is to Inamorata being added to the setlist next year. Long live Metallica.
