I'm happy for Princess Iron Fan. I think everyone can appreciate a story where someone does some reflection and decide to be better. She really seems chilled out after all that. Good for her.

"The devilishly handsome Bull King" "The devilishly handsome Sun Wukong" I can see how these two were friends.

The reason the god can summon ghost soldiers is because he was demoted to be a Tudigong, the local land deity, who not only oversee the local geographical location and it's people, but also acts a minor god of death, having an administrative role over the deaths in that area. Think of it as the manager of a local Walmart calling security.

The fact that this single story from a 430-year-old epic contains shape-shifter espionage culminating in a FUCKING KAIJU BATTLE speaks volumes about how much modern literature was influenced by this book.

IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS UNLESS WE GET OUR YEARLY OSP Journey to the West EPISODE! 🎉🎉

I swear the real proof JTTW is the original Shonen Manga is the fact that the Arcs keep getting longer and longer.
  • @namikkou
Lowkey love the fact Princess Iron Fan turned over a new leaf! She decided "nah this isn't what I want in life" and actually became a better person. Props to her
  • @frogmaiden6015
I'm so happy for her, she goes from broken by her husband's betrayal to just doing good for herself.
  • @CrowsFable
Sandy just low-key enjoying the rain at the end is adorable. 😂
  • @flooff1411
Honestly good for her, finally leaving centuries old toxic relationship to find peace and success, go girl
  • @pentbot
I absolutely love the running gag of "someone bursting in on someone drinking tea, and them spitting it out."
  • @cloudphoenix241
Ok but like Princess Iron Fan is such a queen in this. She's just so sick of her husband being a scumbag she decides to seek enlightenment and succeeds! & we love her for it Unrelated but Sandy in the rain is so freaking pure omfg
  • @tahmidfaiz681
The escalation from “oh no volcano” to “bug espionage” to “the armies of heaven 15 different gods and Monkey fight Bull Godzilla over a big fan” is the best description of this story
  • @cobalt2672
Wow, Princess Iron Fan really gets the short straw through this whole thing for not having done anything wrong, but it's nice to see she gets a happy ending!

What’s really interesting is that LEGO Monkie Kid handles the Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan’s relationship very differently. In the show, the two are actually very devoted to each other, to the point that Demon Bull King will threaten anyone who hurts or threatens his wife. It’s absolutely adorable, and you should all go watch the show because it’s amazing
  • Sun Wukong screaming "SHE'S A LOVELY WOMAN" is one of the funniest things that has happened in any of these.
  • @R4yj4ck
Love how Sun is a generally cool if moderately chaotic guy. Like Princess Iron Fan asks "Hey I know I was antagonizing before, but I'm trying to be better about that. Can I have the fan back? It's actually kind of important to me." and after checking to make sure she's not lying Sun is like "Sure, go for it girl."
  • @HurricaneDDragon
“Shapeshifter showdown” is one of my all time favorite tropes. It’s thankfully not an overused cliche.
  • @voidboi2831
i love the depiction of princess iron fan as a tired woman with unhealthy coping methods because it's completely accurate to the book but also really funny
