In this soft spoken ASMR video, I tell you stories from Norse Mythology and explanations about its context and meaning to the Old Norse.
Stories include the discovery of the runes and the loss of an eye by Odin, the war between the Aesir and the Vanir, the construction of the wall of Asgard, the creation of the World, and Ragnarok, the end of times.

We will meet all sorts of gods and creatures: Odin, Thor, Freya, Freyr, Njord, Tyr, Loki, Heimdall, Mimir, the Norns, Ymir, Fenrir, Jormungand, and many more, across the 9 worlds: Asgard, Midgard, Jotunheim, Vanaheim, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim and Hel.

  • @Fab--
We're sleeping in the halls of Valhalla tonight boys!
  • @Oldguitar57
I’d learn so much and be so smart if I could stay awake more than 5 minutes.
  • This brings me back to my gramma telling me the sagas! She would start out in English and then slowly slip into Icelandic. She passed away in 2019 from breast cancer, I’m convinced that she’s in Valhalla! Thank you so much for this and bringing back memories ❤️❤️❤️❤️
  • This will become one of your most watched videos! maybe even surpass the greek stories...
  • @TheDracoChick
When I hear his voice, I feel like I’m sitting at a campfire with a Khajiit caravan while they tell fantastical stories outside of far away lands.
  • @hannahh8696
I'm so happy that you open with the runes and Odin's eye. Seeing the runes at Maeshowe in Orkney blew me away and lead me on a journey of fascination with them. I've only just started watching but the quality of this video is already fantastic. Props, audio, vocals, visuals; all sublime. Thank you.
  • @holliheibi99
I have secretly been hoping you'd do this video, ever since the Greek stories. Your care and dedication shows. We are so lucky. Thank you.
  • Literally on my 5th playthrough of God of War so great timing here! Listening to this while rowing around the lake of the nine is the game plan when I get bored.

The accuracy and details you gave made my husband and I happy to listen to your telling. You are a wonderful storyteller (a title that is quite important to us since stories are how our knowledge is passed on to each generation). I do not know which pantheon you follow, but may your god/goddess or gods continue to show you favor.

Thanks to the French Whisperer... I’m actually able to shut off my over active monkey mind and go to sleep. Been listening over a year now. Thank you!
  • @fvlsegxd8182
Ah yes this will certainly fuel my Valheim addiction even more

"I have bills to pay, but it's still a really good app" Hahaha ! L'honnêteté !
  • My father believes he was a Viking in one of his past lives. He’s always believed that and felt as if he knew what it felt to be one which is really cool. He’s part Scandinavian which means I am too, reading about Norse culture and the stories about their gods is so interesting. My mother thinks she was a shield maiden that fought aside with my father because they both feel like soulmates. It was love at first sight, they lived in the same area and worked at the same building, just a few floors apart from eachother. They both feel that they were together in a past life and that they fought together as Vikings. They watched the series Vikings multiple times and got me into watching it too. It’s so interesting with how they fought and how they survived back then. Learning the alphabet in runes stayed in my mind and I can pretty much read a full paragraph in runes! Being part Scandinavian is amazing and the fact that one of my ancestors could possibly be Ragnarok or Odin themselves gives me so much confidence and bravery. I really want to learn more about Norse and when I came across this video, it made me so happy that I could fall asleep to the stories about some of my ancestors and how they had to live. Thank you so much for this video❤️
  • Sometimes I'm just half awake listening to this while having amazing dreams
  • @lioleigh9791
I love falling asleep/waking up to the atmospheric nature sounds that you keep on for a couple hours at the end of your videos. Especially love that they correspond with the theme of the stories/video and builds an environment that feels so immersive. I hope you keep adding them! Thank you for sharing your storytelling creations with us, they are absolutely wonderful ❤
  • @Real_gandalf
My favorite history. I am Swedish and i love vikings and asgardian mythology
  • @theshenpartei
This is perfect for me when I’m playing assassins creed Valhalla
  • I know you do these for sleep (the calm sounds afterwards are great for that) but this is the best way to teach history. All my classmates always fell asleep in the first 5 mins of class, so nothing new, but history gives me severe anxiety (even though I deeply desire learning it) and your presentation really helps me learn and keep me relaxed and calm. You are very much appreciated. I know it wasn’t your original purpose but you’re meeting a different need in the world too. I hope you continue to prosper. Thank you for your work!
