  • Those tears dried up FAST the second she realized she wasn’t going to get her way

As someone who has been through THREE residentials and known people DIRECTLY from Discovery Ranch, I don't think people realize how traumatizing and sick residential/outpatient/impatient therapy programs can be. I would be crying as well and I DID when I found out I was going to one. Its not just about "The program not dealing with tantrums" and its not just about "not having your phone". It is scary and terrifying and one of the worst experiences I went through. All I see is a scared girl who doesn't know what she wants, or if she wants life. I can understand how she feels and I can only feel empathy and pray she recovers after going there.

A lot of these 'residential therapy programs' for teens have an extensive history of abusing the patiens/residents. She probably had seen the accusations and that's why she declined. She is also a BRAT and knew that she wouldn't get her way there.
  • as sick as it sounds, it’s true that I enjoy watching these bec it makes me feel better about myself

There are so many complaints by children on this therapy school where murder and all sorts is abuse (sexual, verbal, physical) has happened and it only just makes things worse creating more trauma to their life, I see a 15 year old girl going through life changes so this behaviour is what you have to be prepared for if you want to become a parent and can handle this in a diffrent way.
  • A vivid memory of mine as a child is seeing my grandma - a kind and but very tough and unforgiving Irish woman - slapping my teenage cousin in the face when she told my grandma to shut up and get out. That didn't happen again.

Plot twist: center for discovery is actually turnabout ranch
  • @kratz57x
The only thing she's afraid of in the "program" is being surrounded by adults who don't bend to her tantrums.
  • Honestly I don’t blame her for reacting that way, getting taken from her room at 3:00am basically getting kidnapped and dragged here without her consent then shearing how the camps abuse you no wonder she doesn’t want to
  • @vee9369
See I have been to a program like the ones they say on dr Phil. I don't care how bad you think your kid is. You are abused in these programs physically and emotionally and sometimes sexually. It's awful.
  • @bermypass
"Shutup Gran" said no Caribbean child EVER!! Head off shoulders, teeth out of mouth!! I would never have dared! Respect is taught from young and these parents failed by spoiling this child!!
  • @Ihatethoosies
As someone who's been in these programs. No one should ever get sent to them. I was physically and mentally abused at Innercept a treatment center in Idaho. I have way more trauma now then before. Anyone who thinks these places are helpful is insane.
  • @GrannyJB
They dragged this girl out of bed at 3AM. That was ridiculous. They knew it would blow up and Dr. Phil taped it for his show. Disgusting.
  • @Trxs-_-
Everytime i think my stepson is bad i watch these kids and go nope Nevermind he aint that bad
  • @Ramon_92
She went from devilish laugh to fake tears to straight face walking away within 2 minutes .

‘I want to live away from them... but want them to pay for my house and bills’ 😂
  • @StealthMode3924
She will regret speaking to her grandmother the way she did. Enjoy your time with them and respect and love them while you have that time with them.
  • @madturtle8826
The department of corrections can also do that. Let her check in there and see how that works. She will get learned real quick when those doors slam shut
