  • I really love videos where people read books that haven't taken off. Makes them so much more interesting because we're seeing books we haven't seen people read.

Thank you! My local library has a reading challenge category "a book with less than 1000 ratings on goodreads" so this was super helpful!

There was a real Irish kids TV show in the 80s called bosco about a puppet in a box. It also had a feature where they went through a magic door but first they knocked and recited a poem that started with the line “knock knock open wide see what’s on the other side”. From your description sounds like it’s a clear reference to that.

I love being early to things. it makes me feel important.

So happy you enjoyed Knock Knock, Open Wide! I read it last year (for your buzzword challenge in December) and it ended up being one of my favorite books of the year! I’m a bookseller and I immediately had to write up a recommendation because it definitely hasn’t gotten the attention it deserves
  • As a lesbian I personally love when people who arent lesbians write lesbian relationships. More lesbians for everyone

You're EXACTLY the reason I ran out and bought Knock Knock, Open Wide.... I'm halfway through, and loving it so far. Granted, I'm confused.... But thoroughly entertained. ✌🏻
  • @seobscript

I love reading from smaller authors ♥️ so I love this concept
  • @FabulousFrostine
I am exactly halfway into Knock Knock Open Wide, and honestly, totally agree with 5 stars right now. Right up my alley, though.

You accurately guessing the ratings of four books! 🤯

Great timing. I have a bulged disc and crazy nerve pain. Today I've been in so much pain I can barely function. You've become my new comfort YouTuber. Thank you for the chill happy vibes.
  • @helloamycus
I just read knock knock, open wide earlier this month. I never read things before you! So cool to see your reactions when I know what’s happening in the book

I'm so behind on this because I wanted to wait until I finished Knock Knock and I thiiiiink it's my favorite of the year so far! I was checking out his Instagram and according to that it's not a debut (the first one is called When the Sparrow Falls from 2021 but I don't think was done with Nightfire) and this didn't get an audiobook because nobody got the audio for his first one. Hoping this one gets one eventually because I would also love to do a reread with it, and that his next one coming out in 2025 gets one with the book release!

There’s a book I LOVE that has under 2,000 ratings on Goodreads, it’s called The Aunt Who Wouldn’t Die by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay and I found it at a random dollar tree and it’s honestly one of my favorite books and I wish more people read and loved it as much as I do! ✨💕
