"YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST STEAL FROM US AND WALK AWAY" Joker: yeah.....

The one thing I love about this scene is how Joker looks at Gambol, you can just tell in these subtle little glances over at him that Joker is already planning on killing him.

If you notice after Gamble calls the Joker a freak, he gives him a lingering look before looking around the room again, marking him. What Heath did with this character makes him my favourite actor of all. Amazing.

I love how the Russian guy nods after the pencil trick. He’s just like “yea it’s gone that’s kinda cool”

The look of the character is insane - an expensive suit but it’s covered in tears and dirt. Stringy green hair and a Chelsea grin with dark pits for eyes. Purple gloves and knives in his shoes? Perfection.

This scene is genuinely amazing, because it partly feels like a comedy skit with some of the Joker's lines and deliveries while conveying extremely important information. His declaration of never doing something for free is simple and true, but in such a serious meeting it catches you off-guard, and when he responding with how much he wants to get paid, instead of giving a specific number like 10 million or something generic like that, he just responds with a blanket statement of "Half," which is so vague yet incredibly specific at the same time that it's difficult to know if he's serious, but you know he's asking for half of everyone's pay, an extremely ballsy move that exudes confidence. It really goes to show that while he did plan, he was basically winging most of his actions like a wild card. It's rare to see someone that cunning and unhinged in movies these days.

heath ledger's performance made people almost forgot that this is a batman movie.

Notice how everyone is laughing when he's serious. But nobody is laughing when he's joking.

"I'm not. No I'm NOTTTT." Freaking brilliant....Why'd you have to leave us, Heath? 😞

I saw this in theaters on day 1 and I vividly remember feeling a tiny bit nervous and anxious at some points of this film just because Heath’s performance was so good. The way he said “No I’m not” was a little chilling and it was small, almost unnoticeable moments like that that just gave soooo much more depth to his character. One of the greatest villain performances of all time hands down.

When the camera pans to Eric Roberts @2:53, the look on his face almost seems slightly as if he’s breaking character; that he’s so impressed with Heath Ledger’s performance as a fellow thespian, he knows he’s making this scene cinematic history.

The Jokers deep understanding of human behavior is what allows him to predict the future so well.

I always liked how Joker just calls the asian guy "the television."

He doesn't even seems like an actor playing the Joker, he looks like a real joker exists.

I remember when they announced Ledger as the Joker and tons of people hated the idea because they thought he was just a pretty boy from rom coms. Then he turned in one of the greatest performances they had ever seen.

Heath Ledger not only deserved that Oscar win but he is the best Joker(In my opinion). I wish he was still around. May he rest in peace.
