Take all Thomas Lang Drumeo appearances and you have Lessons for 3 Lifetimes . Yes , he IS a machine.
-
When ever I need an ego check on my perception of my abilities, I watch Thomas Lang videos. I learn humility. I get inspired. I have yet another set of goals to accomplish.
-
Thomas Lang is the Arnold Schwarzenegger on drums. An austrian machine with massive power and great technique.
-
The shifting the hands 16th to the right in relation to the feet melted my brain
-
Some days I feel like a reasonably proficient drummer, technically speaking. Other days, I watch Thomas Lang.
-
The reason why people are freaked out by Thomas is because heās one of those guys to tell you that thereās no talent. Thereās only hard work. And you can only imagine how a human can possibly become this good within a single lifespan through hard work. That takes hell of a discipline
-
They say, "Those who can, do. And those who can't, teach." Lang is a master of both. One of the best to ever do it!
-
Mr. Lang is equal parts discouraging and inspiring. I'm discouraged when I watch him because I feel I'll never get to a fraction of a percent of his level. But then he talks through it, and I am inspired to try because he makes it seem possible
-
Thomas Lang is a human drum machine. Out of this world technical skills with the paradiddles!!!
-
This has so much gold packed into one video. This is the kind of thing that really helps me get an idea of what I need to be doing with practice. Itās easy to get lost especially if youāre self taught.

Thomas Lang is in the company of the greatest to ever do it. Everything appears to comes so naturally, and he obviously has natural talent. But all of us are in different ways. Lang is what you get when you combine natural talent with obsessive work ethic. It's so rare and it's so fucking awesome. š¤

"All knowledge is useless if it isn't there." I absolutely love that. The things he says throughout this video resonate with me in all walks of life. All I take from Thomas is inspiration and a desire to keep learning. He's NOT a machine; he's a flesh and blood human like any of us. Call me an optimist, but if he can do it, so can I. Might take a lot of work and a lot of trial and error, but anyone can learn anything. explained with the right words and an idea that you understand already, is usually all it takes for a person to suddenly go "Oh, NOW I get it!"

Total Mastery of the instrument - Thomas Lang always pushing the limits - we are fortunate to have him in the drumming community. Kudos Thomas !

Oh my god this guy is a monster???? The way he can seamlessly shift patterns around and change tempos. My mind is absolutely blown. This video made me so glad the paradiddle is the first rudiment I started working on. When Brandon breaks down grooves and fills, he speaks in terms of rudiments a lot of the time, and they're a big part of Travis Barker's style. They may reek of chores, but they seem to be pretty damn important. Time to go practice more paradiddles

Thomas is so clear in the way he plays and explains his ideas. Very inspiring musician.
-
Thomas Lang has got to be one of the best and will be remembered as one of the greatest drummers ever. I love his determination. Can't believe D.T let him pass what a mistake .
-
All this complexity and opportunity also applies to every rudiment and sticking pattern out there too. It's why I love drumming. Something that is perceived as simple (by people saying "I could do that"), is actually infinitely variegated. Those who can pull from that infinite number of possibilities a groove or pattern that makes sense to people who haven't even the slightest clue of what drumming really is, is the beauty of it all.
-
Pure genius, period.
-
I could listen and watch this guy all day. Such an icon
