I have 2 ginger girls from animal shelters. They are different to each other but individually playful, curious, cheeky, chatty. They were both chosen based on most vulnerable and needing a home asap. They have both grown to be confident, loving and inseparable soul-sisters. I wouldn't change them for anything.

Our son lost his ginger buddy about a year ago. He was so heartbroken about it that when my wife saw a female ginger and her sister at our local rescue vet, she adopted them. Both are great cats and the female ginger has become our son's new buddy. Her sister is pretty great too and she has become my best buddy. We will all miss Mr. Cheese but our loss led to the adoption of Miss Birdie and her sister Xena Los Vegas. Miss you Cheese.

We recently adopted a female orange cat. She's very loving and adorable, but she does have some quirks. I had some cat beds which had holes for my previous cats which passed. They loved to go inside and curl up to sleep in them. My new cat refuses to go in. My husband said she might be afraid of going in because we adopted her from a shelter where she was caged so I bought a big, comfy open bed for her. She's even more petrified of this one and will not go in. She's also afraid of going onto our bed even though I try to get her on. She just jumps right off. Nonetheless, she is very sweet and fun to play with. We got hooked on her right away.

So cute! 🐱 Im a vet volunteer. I’ll give you a suggestions. cat food is often poor quality, as there are no regulations put on it. So I suggest trying Purina One, Hills Science Diet, Iams or Fancy Feast, for their higher quality. Cut back on Dry Cat food for cats, especially males. Over time, it can cause urinary blockage and kidney issues. Indoor formulas are lower in calories. Also, keep your cat Indoors, especially at night. There are a lot of Predator attacks on cats, in every state. And speeding cars that aren’t paying attention, are a danger to cats. Take any older cats in for a ‘Full Senior Blood Panel’, it’s quick, easy, and will red-flag health health concerns early 🐈

Female ginger cats are 20% of the ginger population and they are not super rare. They also tend to have a darker, black, undercoat compared to the males which gives them a unique appearance in the sunlight.
