Granny Good Morning! Hope you're having a Great Week! Great video Daniel! Machine work beats picking by hand. 😮

Hate to see the lower yields Daniel, hang in there. Y’all are doing great considering…Hello Granny, God Bless all y’all at Triple R🇺🇸👍🏻🇺🇸

Might have to harvest that stuff at night! The moisture would be welcome! Or start at 3-4 am and run til 11 or noon, then Hancock’s for lunch! 😎

Just think for a second at 1 time 90 bushels was outstanding numbers. We have become spoiled with all these high bushels per acre these past few years or so.

We tac welded some large lock washers on the auger flighting once. Also lowering the head has worked before. I know it sounds wrong but the stalk may be stronger at bottom allowing them to help push the stuff into auger.
  • you can put a reel on head they work great, its spinning wheel mounts on top of corn head, your knives might need changed also , geeting deck plates right distance might help also

To help the stalks feed in better try taking those rubber cob savers off including the ones on top of the snouts. When the stalks are that brittle they catch and break off. Try that on the rows that plug the most and see if it makes any difference.
  • Dan when a flat face oring blows out/starts to leak it usally blows the bad part of oring out to behind the loose/swivel nut. you need to wash the loose nut outwith brakeleen the more gooder the better. Been dealing with those for years on construction equipment. May or may not help but usally fixes the problem guys.

    🔥🔥🔥I can’t believe it’s corn harvest time already😮
  • Man oh man this changing weather makes me think, farmers of the future will be growing crops not depending on fertilizer but faith!
  • There are Teflon shims that you can put behind the gathering chains that push the chain out more so it can grab the stalk and help push in

Something we have done on our john deere corn head when the stalks start to pile up is bump your header up and down a couple of times and for some reason it will start to feed in again. It works for us so maybe it will help you
  • @carlfalt174
Those stalks are beyond brittle. Hope the rest of harvest goes better
  • @57fitter
Daniel It looks like you are going to have to do more shelling in the early morning and later in the evening to take advantage of dew or moisture in the air to keep the stalks tougher.

Get a corn reel, takes care of the problem no matter the color
