  • I knew a french couple that lived in Villefranche-sur-Mer, their apartment was down by the marina and overlooked the bay. The first time I went there, some 28 years ago, I noticed they didn't have a tele, when I asked why, my friend just pointed across the open door to the terrace and that fantastic and breathtaking view and said, with this who needs one. We spend many memorable evenings on that terrace, eating and drinking and watching the sunset, sadly they have now passed away.

You two should be given a French medal for your promotional work. None better!
  • @uweinhamburg
First idea - the Villefranche tourist office can put this video directly on their internet site! Nice shots and another lovely editing 👍 You're a natural storyteller!
  • @bevbond6152
Thank you. Great video of a great place. Just lifted me out of gloomy old U.K. (albeit spring is just about in the air)! I could feel that lovely sun on my skin, taste the Salad Nicoise, smell the salty air, hear that percussive southern French accent around me. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Tourist office should pay you!!
  • One of your best videos! Thank you so much for that Villefranche essence — giving us, in one video, so much of what other visitors/bloggers/estate agents fail to include: a Villefranche all-in-one, from your local perspective.
  • Nice presentation! I would add: 1. Go to an open air movie in the evening at the Citadelle 2. Wear walking shoes if you take the trail to the Fort of Mont Alban (you can exercise along the way, there is a parkour for the sporty ones) 3. In the afternoon you can find shadow from the protecting wall on the pebble beach at the Darse but when it gets all in the shadow you can move to the sandy beach across the bay.

Very informative. You should get a job with the tourist board.

What a lovely surprise and amazing way to end the day. Seeing that sun, sea, and scenery just makes me long to move from the UK. Thanks for what must be the best insight tour I have seen.
  • Best Videos for Certain!!! — You both put 110 percent into these and I know for sure there is a Huge market for this content Excellent Narration Tim 👌

Wonderful scenic tour with tips for Villefranche. I want to go asap. I didn’t realise you’d been living there for 20years. I can easily see why. More videos like this please!!!
  • @Eurovision-OLD
Wonderful video. Thank you for showing us around beautiful Villefranche.
  • @Mavtrav
Fantastic. Enjoyed 20 minutes in rainy England watching my favourite place in France.
  • @shaunbarnett5081
Thank you for this. I remember walking from Nice to Villefranche one night & then hooking my belt around one of the boat tugs attached to the wall with the other part around my neck at about 4/5am. I thought at the time, what a wonderful place to end my life. As it turns out, my belt was cheap & snapped just before what could have happened. I fell on my arse. But I ended up laughing at the madness of the situation & a few hours later I was having breakfast in Monaco. Smoked Salmon & scrambled eggs with a bottle of Champagne. It made me re-think life massively. I'll never forget that beach. 12 years later...

Wow, a mid week extra video 😍 what a treat ❤
  • @tvjmedia
Omg thank you! We are travelling from Australia and will spend ten days in Villefranche in April so this is very timely. It looks sunny and warm already! Can’t wait to stay at the Welcome ❤️ Love your videos, maybe we will see you there 😉
  • What a great video and what a salesman you are Tim! This really brightened up a very rainy Thursday in Sheffield! Thanks.
  • @louiselage7740
WOW! Tim you have out done yourself this time....beautiful, informative video! I must say, you are making it very tempting to do Villefranche, but in off season, naturellement! I could soooo live there. In my heart I have always been quite French, as I must be channeling all my French ancestors! The food, the wine the beaches, the philosophy of life...and I Iive for picnics in the summer...right up my ? (what is it you always say?...I can never hear it well with your Yorkshire accent, lol)...Those villa's...wow...speaking of Yorkshire accents, I thought you were saying...' belly pot' villa's, referring to the fact that they sort of look look like the front of a pot belly stove, but I soon realized you were saying 'belle epoch!'...ha ha ha...Anywho, I adored the idea of secret swimming. Oh oh oh...again, right up my ?...I have always loved the idea of private swimming in some far off secluded spot where the only thing that you might scare is the fish ...hee hee....if you get my drift... :fish-orange-wide-eyes:
