Poe was a genius. Happy Birthday, Edgar. Sleep in peace

Great shame the man " Edgar Allan Poe" died in poverty . Great writer
-
This movie terrified my grandma when she was a teen! It's nice to know I have a chance to see what scared her, thanks to digitizations of old movies!
-
the fact that this film is so old made it way more creepy and was actually 10x better than just reading it
-
That was great. Love those old movies.
-
I love how there were gay subtexts in some of Poe's stories, like this one.
-
Oh, how interesting! I listened to the sound of Edgar Allan Poe typed movie called The Fall of the House of Usher.

Adaptatioin from 1976. Director is Guerdon Trueblood. Stars Clifford Dodd, Michael MacRae, Logan Ramsey, and Tara Leigh.

The background music is so scaring that it gives chills and a feeling of intense gloom. Usher's face looks feeling less yet with so much pain of losing his sister. Overall nice story
-
Roderick Usher, has been self- isolating for decades...

Pretty amazing how they came from this one to the one from 1960! Awesome story, awesome films both of them. Personally i like the one with Vincent Price more.
-
Wow, that was House of Usher movie!

when are a depressed vampire who going through grief

Pretty good adaptation. At least in my opinion. I've seen several---the first was Roger Corman's classic 1960 version starring Vincent Price. Gothic horror is one of my favorite genres. Unfortunately, it's a rather lost cinematic art, most likely because there's no longer any audience for it among young people. Thanks for posting this !

This is the third version of the story I have seen, not a bad attempt at all.

Ah, I was calmed by the sound of Edgar Allan Poe: House of Usher!
-
Ah, what the Edgar Allan Poe movie!
-
The actor playing Usher looks like Liberace.

It would be great to have a modern movie for the fall of the house of usher. It would be difficult to improve upon the performance of Vincent Price, but there is probably someone who could do a good rendition of Usher.
