On June 4, 2021, Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain did not open with the rest of the park. One of the coaster’s 2 cars valleyed and was totally stuck between two hills. Instead of following any sort of safety protocol, a group of maintenance men decided to manually try to push and pull the cart out of its stuck position. No fall protection of any kind was visible as they first attempted to push it forward (not in this video) and failed, causing two employees to almost get sucked under, having to jump onto the rolling cart. This time they tried pushing it back, only to fail again, and an employee was dragged forward banging his legs on multiple supports.
The cart was eventually dislodged and the ride opened later that day with only one car operating.
