As a upcoming sophomore here’s what you need to know: -Don’t try to be popular or a pick-me because people won’t like you. -keep things you want to be kept a secret to yourself -keep up with homework -set-up a schedule and a good way to organize, I had a trapper keep that I brought home with all my homework and brought to every class with essentials that I will for sure forget if I didn’t have them in there -be open to any club or sports opportunities, I did bowling, band, powerlifting, and equestrian team it keeps you out of drama and trouble if you focus on other things -bring friends with someone doesn’t mean you need to like what they do or dress like they do. -Getting good grades is more appealing to others than getting bad grades (meaning some like being friends with people who actually try to do their work well rather than those who don’t) -ALWAYS listen in class -try to be friends with those that are in relatively the same classes as you, it will make school a whole lot more fun, but keep the talking to a minimum -keep your room clean (I know… it’s a problem for me too) it will make you feel better -keep up your personal hygiene, just in general, hope y’all already do. - I always liked to put a locker shelf at the bottom of my locker so I could make getting resources easier -KEEP BINDERS ORGANIZED -Try not to get on a teachers bad side -don’t try to be friends with only upperclassman, people will think your weird and eventually they will graduate and leave you behind That’s about it. Good luck to the incoming freshman, be friends with everyone, be nice, and try hard on your assignments.

as someone who’s just finished their freshman year, here’s some things i learned along the way: -DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR GRADES. EVER. make sure to not over study and pressure yourself, ofc. try to find studying habits that work for you -if you don’t ask ab drama, you won’t be in drama. keep yourself to yourself and DONT befriend gossips. keep your circle filled with people who truly motivated you -start thinking about what you’re into, and expand on your interests in your free time. building any form of skill is an immense help -keep all your notes organized, and do not throw them out at the end of the year. you’ll need them for the ACT, SAT, GAT etc -participate in class. being smart doesn’t make you a teachers pet. it also makes it easier to make friends. also participate in clubs/ competitions. it’ll help for your college resume and will also help you find/learn more about your passions -do NOT ruin your sleep schedule especially during exams. you’ll regret it eventually and saying you stayed up till 3 am isn’t cool anyway -take advantage of presentations. it’s so hard being yourself in front of different people bc you’ll want to match their energy. but because you’re in front of lots of people, there isn’t any specific energy to match. the stage is yours -do not neglect your rest. the importance of sleeping, eating, and drinking water doesn’t decrease because you have a project due next week -don’t buy things from upperclassman unless it’s their old notes and study guides -vaping and doing drugs in the bathroom doesn’t make you edgy please i hope you have an awesome school year!! good luck to everyone 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

i just found your channel and let me say, i love your personality! and i’m a sophomore now and i go back to school next week. my first year wasn’t that bad! don’t stress too much about it because it’s high school and yes it can get hard sometimes but make memories because it’s going to go by real quick.

Girl, make sure to cherish these years of highschool cuz they fly by really fast and I really mean it. I'm already a senior highschooler and I get so emotional and melancholic when I see these kinds of videos on yt or even the younger kids at my school.. My advice as someone who is out of highschool: -Be yourself. It sounds cheesy but it's true. -Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. -Do your homework and don't be afraid to ask for help if it is allowed on the assignment. -Study. I never did and I did decent but it would have been easier if I did lmao. -Give yourself some time to relax.

I'm a sophomore this year and 1 thing I learned as a freshman last year is to get as much sleep as possible because you'll need it. So for example I have to leave my house to go to my bus stop by 8:00 am it doesn't take me too long to get ready so I wake up around 7:20 and am ready around 7:55 ish. If you pace yourself with what you need to do; you can get more sleep, have time to get ready, and leave on time. Personally I think you gave yourself too much time; I would suggest getting up around 5:30 or 6:00 to get ready. Which would give you about an hour and 30 to get ready if at 5:30 an hour if at 6:00. 5:20 if you have any extra things that might take longer. This is just advice you can keep your schedule the same if you'd like, need, or even want extra time. I know everyone has there own pace of how they get ready.

Tips for you if you're going into 9th grade as a past 9th grader! (Sorry for arriving late to this vid!) - You're not really going to need a lot of stuff as most of did online school before were mostly going to be doing work on the computer but it's really handy to have 2-3 notebooks. - ALWAYS have a PENCIL (You won't believe how much people lose or don't have them.) Sometimes we unexpectedly need them. -Remember to always have extra pads/tampons and clothes just in case anything happens. -Dont try to be popular because popular people always end up in some sort of drama and people will try to avoid you which will make making friends difficult. -Try to stay out of drama. -You may realize you and some of your closest friends will become distant( it happens!) you'll won't have much of the same classes together and you're also going to meet new people! Step up and make new friends, start a conversation! -Do NOT let work pile up on you! There is not really homework but if you don't finish work in class it WILL be homework. And having work piling up is going to be a bit ruff (I let work pile up and it took a while to get things sorted out for me.) and you won't have time to do the things you want after school. -Have a planner! (THEY ARE REALLY USEFUL)/Stay organized! -DONT THROW OUT WORK FOR THE WHOLE FIRST SEMESTER THEY MAY HELP YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT! THROW IT OUT ONCE ITS THE SECOND SEMESTER AND DO THENSAME THING!! -Have folders!! Binders aren't really used at all since most h.s let us carry backpacks. -Dont be afraid to ask for help! Have at least 2-3 close friends with you if you go out to eat away from school during lunch! -Have as much fun as you can and stay healthy!

tip to make your eyelashes look longer with mascara. just start by putting mascara on the tips and the start putting it all over your lashes. also i def recommended using sky high! it’s not clumpy and it makes your lashes look so pretty + natural :)
