Bricky is SWAMPED with LIES

fun fact: the green monster of the swamp is based on a character from the original serialization. They are a fisherman who pulls pinochio up from the sea, and despite pinnochio's pleas, the man does not understand that he is not a fish and is determined to eat him.

When you said “pull the lever Cronk” when you sent the exploding minecart down in the swamp area, I found it really that on my own play through I said the exact same thing at that moment.

I enjoy Lies of P's narrative and themes quite a bit, but it's weird to me that the Donation there took issue with Bricky having 'critique'. I myself have LOTS of critique of it, but that critique comes from a place of engagement because I felt the game gave me plenty to engage with. I very much agree with Bricky that one thing the game has not mastered is Brevity. Even in Armored Core, where basically the entire story is told via one-sided dialogue as 621 has to listen to everybody, SO many characters REFUSE to tell you their whole deal upfront and usually only say as much as they have to. Lies of P has a lot more hearts on sleeves, and there's an endearing earnestness to that but it's undeniably over-written.

Bricky doesn't like all the long dialogues. He prefers the shorter, more poignant dialogue from dark souls games like... MMMMMM TOGATHAAAAAAA... WE SHALL DEVOUWAAAAA... MMMM THE VERY GOOOOODDSSAAA

Bricky real question here. Is there a reason you don't engage with the main weapon mechanic? I feel like every weapon I've seen you use is the base regular version not even a handle switch. Just curious man I've had a blast making custom weapons

To me the story was the most obvious set up for a neir automata story. With a robot uprising and a machine turning into a human it was all set to ask questions like what does it mean to be human? What is the end point for man versus machine? And then it kinda throws that away for the whole humanity must evolve story half way through the game. A story that has no place in the theme that we have been dealing with this entire time.
