If you didn't live through the prime Eminem era, you'll probably struggle to understand how much chaos he caused. Nobody was used to the ''Slim Shady'' persona saying the wildest things while holding a mirror in front of the US. People literally protested him. People would also not get his angry and his irony and sarcasm in his songs.

I am so glad to have lived through this and I literally ran to the store to buy the CDs when these songs came out. Hearing them in the car bumping down the road for the first time was such an amazing feeling. When you first heard him you knew that this dude was going to go far and you are witnessing and experiencing history in the making. I turned 18 in 1999 and that is when Eminem started getting hot. The slim shady LP was SICK!

When Em sings on the hook there’s like a 99.999% chance the song is a pure non skipper. This a 10/10. Busta and FOR SURE Big Boi and Black Thought would’ve floated on this beat too.

The story goes em rang Dre coming off the back of his European tour saying "I need new songs, more beats!" Dre said he has nothing new but he'd get on it. But Dre was in the studio when he rang and Em said "whats that you're playing in the background?" Dre said just something we're messing around with right now. Em said "I want that beat, I will kill that beat!"
