Kikuchiyo's rant. (EP. 12 of Samurai 7.)(contains spoiler-riffic goodness)

Published 2011-02-12
This is one of the best moments in Samurai 7, and one of the speeches worthy to stand next to my "All Hail Brittania" video. Christopher R. Sabat (one of my fav. voice actors by the way) does a great portrayal of the Late,Great Toshiro Mifune's character for Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai." I warn you, I did contain a few spoilers so no whining about it later. Made this for fans of this excellent anime. If there is a speech you, the viewers believe to be worthy of the pantheon of anime speeches, submit them in the comments and I shall judge their worthiness. Oh yeah, I DO NOT OWN THIS SERIES. THIS SERIES BELONGS TO IT'S COPYRIGHT OWNER. THIS IS NOT INTENDED AS COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.

Kikuchiyo most bad ass samurai ever to walk the earth a machine with the heart of a farmer... He knows what war does to people better than any of them it's that knowledge that made him wish to become a samurai to prevent people from suffering like he did... It's a deep message...
  • This tin man has a heart if gold. That's why he can relate and see things for what they truely are no matter how ugly it is.

They really did the 1954 "Seven Samurai" movie justice with this speech.
  • @AkumaTh
Kikuchiyo is my favorite when I began to watch this series. This scene cemented his spot.
  • @TheGreatCrow
This was a powerful speech. Makes me live Kiku even more
  • @StareachValcin
This is definitely Kikuchiyo's defining moment which cemented him as one of the best characters in Samurai 7 and my personal favorite.
  • @SarcyseTiranin
At 2:11 when Kikuchiyo starts crying in frustration I want to cry too. That part places that moment, along with two others, as the only moments in media that can actually move me to near tears/tears.

  • @Shadywolf09
Why do I get the feeling that Chris might have had a good laugh after recording this?
  • @makishepard
I like to think of Peter Griffin when i think of Kiku. Both crazy at times
  • @maxyaedo1267
Lex Lang (WarGreymon, Kenshiro) could have voiced Kikuchiyo
  • @ClarkFamilyFuneral Dude, I know I'm saying this two months after your comment, but take a chill pill. I stumbled upon this anime completely by accident, but it makes me want to see the original. Think of this as a fist step, rather than "sacreligious."
