The most painful feeling is when you have moved ahead in your life and your loved one is still alone thinking about you! Its painful for both. So, the best solution is to move ahead and find a true love again. Being alone will create an emptiness in your life and haunt you for the rest of your life. Believe me... with wife and kids, you will not have time to even think about your first love :) .. Life is short.. JUST LET GO and MOVE ON!!!!

i watched this more than 10 times, but still crying at the last scene. one of my best indian movies. 99 and jannu couldn't give you the same feeling you have experienced in 96. awesome. love it, 96!

I love when Ram says "enakku pasikkardadhu", like he is finally hungry again after all these years of feeling empty without Janu. So much expressed with just his eyes in this one phrase - outstanding.

Guys the movie is like a poem. But movie is not real life. Never spoil anyones precious life by living in the past. Let it go and be +ve. Never get depressed watchig this kind of movies This emotion is well portraited in this movie with great ambience and music.that is the skill of the director. Dont fall into that, especially those who lost their love. I have heard that Love is mad and that will be cured by marriage. It is totally a different feeling after marriage, as we have to face a lot of realities in life after that. So the best thing is LOVE THE ONE WHOM YOU MARRY, SINCERELY.

Loved this movie, love how they both knew their limits and didn't cross the lines especially since one of them was married.
  • What an acting... Vijay sethupathi... In the beginning, Ram was unable to look at Jaanu's eyes. In the end he can't take off his eyes from her... Trisha also has done justice to the character.... Each glance at him is full of love..

  • This is a once in a lifetime movie. Feeling sooo lucky I'm living in the same timeline as this movie. Soo painful...

That smile of Trisha when vijay recites the poem is just amazing
  • The movie attracted me so much. Not everyone has the opportunity to meet lost love, have to be blessed. The last part, when she closed his eyes, omggg, killing

After watching the movie we realized that how lucky we are. We fell in love at our school.. we carried on and we happily married and living happily with our 2 kids..just the thought of being separated like this filled our eyes with tears

Thrisha...one of the tamil actress wasted by the tamil film industry making her to act only in commercial films.. Love to see her acting in nice roles like this movie..

Pure love...not even a single bit of lust....really romantic movie...maybe impossible to see such a story in celluloid or even in real life anymore
  • @kingofbreeze
Trisha's closure of VJS eyes tells all - awesome performance by both.

    மறுபடியும் 96ல வாழணும்... 😍😍😍 “சொல்லாமலே யார் பார்த்தது”

I love how Vijay and Trisha portrayed their roles so well. Here the love between them has turned into bhakthi. Its impossible to forget the love one has for another. But the respect that turned into Bhakthi is the purest form of love. I absolutely so adore this movie. I don' t mind buying a copy of this movie so I can watch anytime in my life to be inspired.

Magical. In Indian cinema only Tamil movie directors will come out with this kind of mesmerising movies more frequently.
