Finally caught up with this coverage. Great content! Having the players mic’d up is great. Hearing the conversations about intent and what they’re thinking and how they deal with disagreements on rules is interesting to see and just generally talking their strategy. Also makes it easier to understand what’s happening on the board and what they’re rolling for

Man, congrats to Matt Lorah. Im not a 10th ed 40k guy generally, I play, but Fantasy was always my first love. Still, I watched the final game on the edge of my seat. I remember Lorah’s loss very well, I was at the event (for a WHFB GT), and went to watch him because our event was over. The game got over late. I don’t even know if he was an adult yet, so I was pulling for him. Seigler pulled it out though. Good on him. Cool for Vanguard too. They now have an LVO champion on their team. Good marketing.

One thing that pleasantly surprised me, is the amount of army explaining that players give their opponents. No hiding rules, no gotchas, just a lot of good sportsmanship.

Quick rules question! Isn't it illegal to arrive from strategic reserves/reserves in the first battle round regardless of deep strike? Is Matt able to deep strike it because of the stratagem Cosmic Precision?

Can someone explain how matt can drop the monolith in his back line turn 1? I thought reinforcement could only come in from turn 2?
