Cartoon Network was launched in 1992.
  • I am just thankful that I was born in the 90s and raised in the 2000s the decades which in my opinion were the best times for Cartoon Network. The classic shows from back than have become big parts of animation history, and with all the amazing program blocks and marathons the channel just felt so alive.
  • Cartoon Network began in 1992, and Nickelodeon and The Disney Channel predate CN (created in 1979 and 1983, respectively).

It's because there's a lack of violence and appealing visuals in new shows which humans find entertaining. We now find these things in other networks

Just bring toonami back to weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Inclusivity” wasn’t really a thing but in the day. They typically just found shows with a good story/premise/interesting art style. It’s not like today where you have certain quotas to fulfill
  • Did Cartoon Network really decline in 2001? I didn't think so. If so, not by much. It was still competing strong vs Nick and Disney, and Fox Kids (and Fox Family) ceased to exist. Let's not forget that Toonami and Adult Swim were also a huge factor for CN. I still thought CN was fine UNTIL maybe around 2006 or later when live-action shows were suddenly popping up.

Cartoon Network launched in 1992 and mainly consisted of old Hanna-Barbera cartoons until 1998 or so. The late 90s to early-mid 2000s was its peak.

I was born in the 90's and those cartoon were the bomb they were better than the ones they have now
  • Cartoon Network would go downhill after the 2007 Boston Mooninite Panic and never really recovered.
  • @syxodude91
Cartoon Network was the new channel that started causing trouble for Nickelodeon, not the other way around.
  • Powerpuff girls, Foster's home for imaginary, dexter's laboratory, What a cartoon show, and robotboy.
