NOTIFICATION SQUAD: I still can't believe I was able to do this?! A huge thank you to everyone who cheered us on during the cycle! Despite the pain we went through, I think myself, Connor and the team agreed (aka. Van gang) that it was one of the most amazing journeys we've had this year and to be a part of an event that raised over $300,000 for charity made it all completely worthwhile. I really hope we can do something similar next year! You can find the details for the Immune Deficiency Foundation here and a final thank you to everyone who donated! primaryimmune.org/

Huge respect to Pete for staying in that cramped, cold van for many hours. what a hero !
  • @SaltySel05
the “connor’s wife” line threw me way off guard lol Chris is adding more fuel to the flames
  • @omfgblondie
They've filmed Wacky Weekend on weekdays before, but I think Chris is really stretching the definition of a weekend here.
  • @ShadowDoyler
I love how Chris can edit and script his videos in a way that’s still fast paced for YouTube, without them feeling like an ADHD overload like some other channels. He’s really mastered the “this feels like a tv programme but for YouTube” vibe
  • @GamingPrymal
Lets give it up for Pete, who tirelessly worked so hard throughout this journey and even when times were tough, he continued to keep pushing through and made it to the end. Good on you Pete!!!
  • @babafiftheen
Big respect for Connor and Chris to do this for charity.
  • @Trillora
"Have friends that push you out of your comfort zone, and have friends that make you laugh." SO well said, Chris! Amazing video, amazing cycle, amazing fundraising, amazing team! Well done, all!
  • @JeanRain17
I love that pete showed his true American nature by giving rousing speeches full of positivity then immediately dove into the van
  • @cnonymous
Congratulations to Pete for working so hard throughout this entire journey. Chris and Connor did okay too I guess
  • @GirlTalksFish
Amazing achievement - I have no idea how you guys did it! Thank you for putting together all the best highlights in a cohesive story so we can enjoy the beautiful scenery, good food, and tricky weather situations with you.

Connor had such an impressive mobile setup, I was truly blown away that such a thing was even possible, even in 2022. While watching parts of the stream, I thought "how could Chris possibly film in these conditions while on the road and on stream for most of it". Yet once again the Abroad in Japan team has achieved high quality footage, excellent transitions and editing, and great moments. Well done, Chris and congratulations on completing such a difficult challenge
  • Chris, and Connor, thank you so much for donating to that cause. I have severe Crohn’s disease and am about to have surgery in order to remove a part of my intestines/colon. I hope that research and development continues to save others from immune deficiency’s like mine and others so they don’t have to suffer the way I have. You have been a massive motivator of mine over the last few years and has helped me keep going watching your videos. I hope once I recover from surgery, get back to work and get more saved up, I can come to Japan and explore all these beautiful places you guys have visited. Cheers mate!

You two are amazing and as a 54 year old guy who has always wanted to see Japan, I am finally booking a trip and I will use everything I have learned from both of you to plan it. Thank you for sharing your lives, the laughs, the experience and culture. As a guy with an immune deficiency disease (which was a surprise seeing in this video) I am even more motivated. God bless you both.
  • As an amateur cyclist and someone with an absolute terrible immune system, what you two have done, and what everyone that supported the charity has done, is literal bonkers, congrats on finishing the ride and hitting this incredible milestone.
  • @zeroichi0926
Don't forget Paul, Ian & Pete. The behind the scene MVPs that make this cycling across Hokkaido a success. Props to them.

Re-watching this about 6 months after i stopped drinking normal Cola all day and started cycling. I reached my goal to cycle to a neighboring town which is 45KM away and back home again. I am immensely proud of that - but also seeing you do that for 7 days in a row shows me that i still have a long way to go. This just gives me motivation to continue cycling and become fitter. Thinking about doing a big tour like this next summer
