CGTN reporter Li Zhao recorded her one-day journey taking public transportation from downtown Beijing to Tianjin, the largest coastal city in northern China. From getting around the city by subway to traveling to nearby cities by train, it is not just the facilities and speed that impress you, but how easy and convenient the entire process is. #bullettrain

The Chinese built Canada's western railway. The British left injured Chinese workers to die on the railroad but Canada's First Nations Native peoples helped them by giving traditional medicine and housing. Many Chinese married into the First Nations people of Canada.

Many routes in the USA do not even have a bus service let alone a train service.

Chinese trains are simply amazing, I travelled from Pudong Airport to the centre of Shanghai in 1995 via the maglev train. I was wondering why some people stood at the aisle and there were no hand grabs. It turned out the 50-km trip took only 10 minutes (no need to sit) and i didn't even feel the train moving (no need for grab handles). I saw on the digital readout that it traveled at 450kms top speed. Amazing.

Bullet trains run in China like shuttle buses. It runs every few minutes between big cities. And my hometown (actually a village) has also a station. It has 17 trains to Guangzhou per day and 20 trains to Guilin (the other direction). All stations are connected either with subways or buses. Travel in China is really convenient. I have been to many US states and many other countries worldwide, never seen such amazing instrustrures elsewhere. Hats off! BTW, the prices are still affordable. Only example: From my hometown to Guangzhou, which is about 400km (250miles), it costs between 96Yuan-127Yuan (depends on which time you wanna travel), which is approx. 14-19USD (or 12.4 - 16.8 EURO), it takes 2 hours (it stops a few times inbetween).

65.5 yuan (10 USD) for a 1st class seat. In the USA a convicted murderer can get on a train. Not China.

Plan to take the train to Tianjin from Beijing, and do some exploring there. Modern and efficient high speed train systems (sadly USA only invests in wars and give super rich tax break) are answers for country development and well being of people. Who are smarter?
