It's a symbolic gesture. During hajj, pilgrims symbolically reject evil by throwing stones at structures representing the devil.

Thats why they are experts in stone pelting in other countries
  • Jesus said, “Let those who are without sin cast the first stone.” I see these comments and want to point to the irony. To me, Jesus despised sin but also knew those with wicked hearts cloak their sin by throwing stones in the name of righteousness. Words to become stones to become bullets to become bombs to become nukes to become ashes to become dust. The devil is the father of all lies.

They threw stones to devil, and the devil struck them back with intense heat, leaving thousands dead.

I was the devil, when they hit me with the stones, I felt like somebody was scratching my back May the Father of Understanding guide you my son!
  • @Klat2
Most of the rocks bounced back hitting the throwers
  • Lol...if it is Satan, why would rocks hurt? It can't be that literal...right? 😅
  • Wow.... Stoning stones with stones. Such an exalted sweet logic 😂😂😂
  • Is this like the two minute hate from 1984? It seems every culture needs a boogeyman.
