Then his daughter married a man of colour. I love how life turns it around, the granddaughter is stunning... Its all so nuts

I love the daughter’s statement: “... I don’t believe our ancestors make us who we are.” This is a very wise statement. I’ve always felt that way. Also, the man who raised her should be considered her father. He took responsibility, emotionally and financially and with his time and effort. All the biological father did was impregnate her mother in the heat of sexual passion and walk away — end of story. Having said that, the three talking with Megyn seem like a lovely family.

Mother looks SO young - and her young daughter is a beauty, too.

A man that raised you IS your father. Any other man is just spem doner.

I am adopted, my Dad is still my Dad. A biological father is different, he'll never be dad.
  • This is one case where not knowing one's parent was a great thing. She did not get a chance to learn his beliefs.

What you hate in other people will end up in your family.
  • This goes to show you that racism and bigotry are taught and learned behaviours, not natural. She’s a true example how if you’re raised with good people, despite what your parents, grandparents etc have done, you can turn out to be a good person and rise above all that toxic negativity.
  • When the daughter said “our ancestors don’t make us who we are...” the whole audience should have burst out in applause.

It's not funny but when she said 'he was afraid that he might have black in him' I laughed so hard

Wendy is a beautiful lady inside and out. She dealt with all of this with such grace.

This is an amazing story. It’s almost as if it’s right out of a movie. But can we also just quickly address how stunning this woman is? She’s 49?? Man, give me what she’s got! She’s clearly a classy woman and a woman who is very loved. That’s gotta be the secret.
  • @wynpyt
Cosette is the perfect equal mix of her mom and dad!!!! And mom looks closer to 40 than 50!!!!
  • @ieshaodom3486
so we just gonna ignore the fact that he said he took part in the murder of M.L.K,Jr.?!?!
  • @brinamarie9525
Wow. The irony that the grandpa would one day discover he had a daughter who half resembled what he hates, and half resembles who he loves. May Jesus heal his heart and call him to a greater love.
  • What a beautiful Family! I was beyond impressed with their Daughter's response! GR8 job Mom and Dad!! It goes to show it's NOT ALWAYS nature over nurture!!
