Patrick Beverley is a professional basketball player known for his tenacious defense and aggressive playing style. He was born on July 12, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois. Beverley played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks before declaring for the NBA draft in 2009. However, he wasn't selected until the second round, picked 42nd overall by the Los Angeles Lakers, who then traded his rights to the Miami Heat.
After spending some time playing internationally, Beverley joined the Houston Rockets in 2013, where he quickly made a name for himself as a gritty defender and a pest on the court. He gained a reputation for his intense defense and ability to frustrate opponents. In 2017, he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the Chris Paul trade.
During his time with the Clippers, Beverley continued to be a key defensive player and a vocal leader on the team. He helped the Clippers become one of the top defensive teams in the league. In 2019, he signed a three-year contract extension with the team.
