Note: if someone says repeatedly something is "totally fine" and "not a big deal," it is most definitely NOT fine and IS a big deal.
-
This scene took a complete 180 for Tom đ he started off waiting impatiently for sweet old Bill to handover the keys to his officeâŠturns out itâs a death pit. But itâs fine.
-
"ok, so, hahaha, there is the DEATH PIT, and at the bottom of the death pit there is nuclear rods?.." poor, poor Tom.
-
The most evil were always behind the scenes and well liked. Like serial killers.
-
Low key one of the funniest scenes in season 1
-
I remember first watching this scene not thinking this wasnt actually going to be a big deal, just a little side drama to spice up our side character moments...and damn does it make me look like the fool when this beacons the main plot point.
-
The casual escalation of this scene is absolutely fucking brilliant. Looks like an affable, generic corporate conversation, and then Bill without even slightly changing his tone starts bringing up "nuclear rods" and "blowback from the NDAs". Catches you offguard.
-
2:22 Toms right eyebrow. There's an Emmy right there. Acting.
-
Bill's "you're welcome" it's a subtle way of Bill saving Greg from the mess
-
That old guy is so relieved he's retiring.
-
Probably the most important scene in the entire show
-
Its funny how Logan dumped this right on Tom's lap knowing that he wouldn't fight it and would eat the sausages no matter what.
-
I've watched season 2 moments more than season 1, and so sometimes I'll see the "adios Bill" scene and feel some pity, and then remember that this scene exists
-
1:12 bill saying âyouâre welcomeâ is a nice touch, Greg doesnât have anything to thank him for to his knowledge, heâs just being polite as usual. But by asking Greg to leave the room, Bill is keeping him out of the death pit, hence the âyouâre welcome.â
-
So Bill was never offered as a sacrifice for the cruises thing at the end of season 8 because he knew too much about unofficial company policy and perhaps Mo Lester's closeness with Logan's frat bros (the wolf pack) So he was safe despite having dirty hands because he blackmailed logan with that knowledge
-
If Bill didnt give Tom this information, there wouldn't have been a need for SOMEONE to go to jail. And Tom wouldn't have had the opportunity to tell Logan that he would be willing to take the fall, and might not have been promoted to the level he was (or the position he was in) when Logan died to have the opportunity to talk to Madson and eventually get the CEO role. Just sayin.
-
Who wouldâve thought we are standing where we are currently thanks to this and only this
-
I love that even the shit talk about Bill is about what a great guy he is.
-
Itâs funny because this sort of thing happens at a lot of major corporations. The constant threat of lawsuits and litigation against the company. Paying for teams of lawyers to handle NDAâs and essentially high money. You show me a Fortune 500 company and Iâll show you a signed NDA that could bring the entire thing downâŠ
-
- Thank you for understanding - Thank you, Bill - You're welcome
