  • Yeah, I bet Nikola Tesla, Copernicus and Newton had a great time taking their tests. 400 IQ for the alst guy...give me a break. I am a Ph.D in political science with a 140 IQ...I was tested in high school. However, all the test tested was whether I was really good at solving visual puzzles. As we have found out over time, intelligence is far more complex than we imagined. Just the work on emotional intelligence is enough to debunk all of the above. IQ matters absolutely nothing if you do not have the emotional intelligence to access and apply. One of the fellows on the list was a child prodigy who went to Harvard, but did absolutely nothing with his intelligence because he obviously had severe autism.

This IQ ranked has more credibility than a $2.50 bill.
  • I don't know how you could rank intelligence, as it manifests in different ways. At least Nikola Tesla was smart enough to know he couldn't be married, because he had no time for it.

How in the world could anyone know the IQ of cleopatra? Did they have some way of testing back in those days?
  • the ranking of Isaac Newton is a bad joke. And I miss Descartes, Hume, Kant, Pascal, Russell, Whitehead, Wittgenstein (!!!), Gödel, Alan Turing, Heisenberg, Dirac, John von Neumann.

I never thought that Cleopatra was that smart. I am surprised.
  • @crptnite
i love how they decided to increase the numbers for inflation, apparently...

100 average. 150 is genius. How come some in the list are more than 200. Leonardo da Vinci ?
  • @megansfo
Cleopatra was extremely intelligent and was a brilliant leader. But how we can assign numbers to people who lived centuries ago is a mystery to me. Mine is 140 plus, good enough.
  • @ccculture9681
I don't think intelligence matters unless you have drive and strict control of your emotions.
  • @davidjordan2011
I'm severely disappointed that Richard Feynman didn't have a place on the list. Among other things he was studying university-level mathematics texts when he was in highschool, with understanding of the material.
  • @sherlock1895
Interesting. I don’t understand why I’m not on this list. My “alleged” IQ is 624. So there! Cheers!
  • @marktwain2053
It's too bad IQ doesn't equate to high common sense.
  • @MikeFuller-ok6ok
An IQ of 160, even on the Wechsler scale, isn't even in the top 100,000 people in the world today.
