Keep bringing hidden gems! Latvia is amazing and so cheap.
-
280 per month for utilities? Geeze... That's really high..
-
Love your videos !
-
Great stuff!! Thanks
-
Poland is even cheaper but standard of living is higher.
-
It seems to me that a person could live in many rural areas here in the USA on a similar budget ($2000-3000 per-month). I know many who live on less.
-
Great video. Riga is a charming town but prices have gone up dramatically since I visited. Hopefully it wonโt turn into another Costa Rica.
-
Great Vid Brother! The details of the retirement visa sound really attractive. So glad you are doing the Baltic nations!! Please include Lithuania even if not as detailed!! Special mention to Qiang of her beautiful smile throughout this presentation. She looks really delighted in Riga

Dan, we love your video as they are incredibly informative. However we would appreciate map so as to picture exactly where you are .
-
This is an eye-opening review. Even at $2000 a month, I didn't think that possible in Western Europe. Plus you get schengen visa freedom. Thx!
-
I went to Riga while on a Baltic Cruise in August 2015 for a day or two. It was quaint, but I think it would get quite board quickly and I don't think I would enjoy the winter, but I could see being their for a month.

Could you show some of the apartment interiors for the range of rents, please? Or give some square-footage, at least?
-
Wow thatโs expensive I pay less than that to live in the uk
-
Thanks Dan, much appreciated I hadn't looked in to Latvia partly due to some things a Latvian friend who was happy to expatriate to the gulf, but with the low income residency income requirements and ability to travel to other part of the EU seems very much worth considering. Did you happen to get a sense if it would be possible to rent long term without a residence visa? Also how familiar might you be with France? While a bit more costly it seems pretty attractive an livable in many respects.
-
Not inexpensive but it sounds amazing to be honest. How is the yearly weather?

looks like a good place to stay for a westener , i dream of retiring early by living on a budget and looked intoo thailand vietnam , phillipines , poland , belarus , malta , greece all of these are cheaper overall compared to the netherlands varying from 25 to 50 percent cheaper but im not sure if i could live there happily , biggest thing for me would be if i can get by speaking english german or dutch , the type of foods available , internet , transportation , overall weather , general cleanliness and health insurance/distance to heathcare i know that once i have the funds to retire those funds can schrink dramaticly if i get ill the heath insurance in thailand for expats is pretty steap and excisting heathissues (like diabetic astma or hearth disease) whont get insured im invested some in crypto and depending on how "rich" i end up i might decide on a cheap "homebase" country and travel other places from there , definetely whont stay in the netherlands if i can help it as im not dependant on staying there and the taxes fines and general way the goverment acts on wishes of the people and encoach on youre freedom or block ways to improve youre quality of life with new rules and regulations just rub me the wrong way

Bring a Russian phrasebook too ....
