You know you have a nice dome when Rogan covers his up because he doesnt want to feel inferior.

It's nice to see an interview where Maynard expresses some of his day-to-day emotions. The way he strained on "just to get aaaanything done," was so himself. I'm glad Maynard's gotten a little more open and direct with interviews in recent years, but also really admire the way Joe gets him out of his shell.

MJK is such a man amongst men. I love this dude, and Joe Rogan is the perfect person to poke and prod to get really deep in to his way and how he thinks. Such a great podcast.

So much respect for Maynard. This guy is funny, real, EXTREMELY talented, black belt in jujutsu and down-to-earth.

This line from 1:13 is absolutely true. I see it in both myself and other people who went through traumatic childhoods when that damaged part of us gets triggered by something. And that thing Joe goes on to describe about "auditioning for things" - that's not just actors, that's the daily life of every damn near every person on the planet. Putting on masks to impress others, be they true or false, might be one of the few universal characteristics of our species (or as universal as nearly 8 billion individuals can ever be).

So true. That’s why people need to always remember where they came from. Appreciate and feel good about the hard work you put in, but never become arrogant and high headed.

Maynard is a true artist. This guy got attack on stage and subdued the guy while never missing a note.

His voice! Even just speaking, it's so pretty.

This clip should be titled "Why Tool Takes Forever To Release An Album". Also, Maynard's comity analogy is relatable. Even for smaller bands.

Tool is successful due to the fact everyone brings something amazing to the table.They are a collective of talent.
