A unique insight into a charismatic and elusive man: ruthless in a race car, surprisingly open and warm-hearted with friends and family in Brazil. An intensely spiritual man is revealed by his intimate reflections: most poignantly about the ever-present danger of death in his chosen profession. The Real Ayrton Senna - as he has never been seen before.

Senna was way ahead of its time. A human being full of light. He died early but the legacy he left will be forever in this world.

Amazing footage. The man who made this documentary, Francis Megahy, passed away in 2020 from cancer. He died on May 1. Quite a coincidence. RIP Francis, and thank you for these wonderful memories.

The fact that he built housing for all of the workers on his farm demonstrates the type of great compassionate man he truly was.

Senna has been my hero for over 30 years. He's a fascinating man.
  • Strangely enought nobody i mean nobody ever talk about Ayrton's ability to speak his mind clear and precise. He was in away very very articulate and had a unique way of expressing his thoughts

When legends die young, they stay immortal because we never saw them grow old and slip into oblivion. We will always remember them the way they last looked. Always young and so full of life and potential. Always immortal. Senna sempre.

No matter the topic, he always gave very detailed and thoughtful responses. He had the brain to go along with his physical gifts in a racing car. The perfect combo we will not likely see again.

I can listen to Senna talk all day. He is literally my hero. I am from the North East USA, and wish I could visit Brazil to ask people about Ayrton!

There are a few wonderful people that have passed, that I would haved to have met, sat down with, and talked with. The late, unbelievably outstanding man and F1 driver Ayrton Senna, is top of my wish. A phenominal driver, competitor and a beautiful human. His loss will always be deeply felt in so many hearts, at least his memory lives on. Forever missed. Ayrton Senna. The man, the legend, the best. God bless you. X
