You can clearly see that after a few pages the scriptwriter just threw the book up in the air and went full nuts. Indiana Jones and the Soldiering Bastards.
  • @drakesavory2019
So the deserters are completely forgiven but the young soldier that caught a wild chicken is hanged?
  • @SitInTheShayd
Sharpe should have gotten with Ellie instead of Jane
  • @fettfan91
The actress who played Ellie was also in Young Indiana Jones: Treasure of the Peacock's Eye. Homegirl likes her treasure and treasure hunters ;)

Sometimes you have to wonder why Sharpe is fighting for such a shitty army that always humiliates him lol. That army tried to kill him more times than the french.
  • @XellithUS
Reaaaally? Steal a chicken = death. Desert the army completely = hold in detention. Madness.

Ellie Nugent: I like to lie Flat Sharpe: less work for me eh.

Before people go off on the CC, it is a hundred yards not 800 yards 28:32
  • So I just read Sharpe's Gold, and I'm convinced no one did when they made this episode :/. Sure the Provost parts are directly from the book, line for line infact (mostly), though Lieutenant Aryes is quickly forgotten and no one is hanged, but that's about it. El Casco is El Cattolico I guess, who is the complete opposite of El Cattolico. And I guess Ellie is sorta Teresa, since this is where she comes into the picture (very different from the show by the way). This is where Tongue dies as well, not to mention where Tom Garrard shows up. No King's German Legion either. Oh well, I guess blowing up a whole cathedral and Almeida isn't possible on a budget.

Is it sad that I own the full DVD set but am here because due to DVD region restrictions I can't watch it without locking my DVD player into UK mode after a handful of plays? Lovely set of coasters, I have...
