Their existing border troops couldn't hold the border. Russia will have to station higher value troops along the border, permanently. This is utterly worthwhile. Demonstrating that Russia remains utterly vulnerable should the EU pull it's head out of its arse and send troops, is also worth its weight in gold. Remember, the Russian population are constantly told the threat they face is NATO invasion. It creates a very difficult political situation for Putin.

I am so frustrated by US hesitating to allow Ukraine to launch ATCEMS

From Portugal: Torsten, keep telling it as you see it, facts matter, that’s what makes Western Europe strong, otherwise it would be propaganda, just like in Putin’s dreamland…Slava Ukraini
  • @Migolcow
From one person who would rather hear the truth than propaganda, thanks for what you do.
  • @jjschereriv
Thank you for NOT being a 'shill' for Ukraine in spite of your being completely on their side! That fact is why I follow and support you!
  • @fantasticoadidas
Torsten, I really agree with you: Always be critical and let ourselves always ask questions. And we all know and find that Ukraine must win: Slava Ukraini !
  • @ngreen1596

“Men will not accept truth at the hands of their enemies, and truth is seldom offered to them by their friends” - Alexis de Tocqueville. Keep doing what you doing, sir. 🇵🇱🇺🇦❤️❤️

😀😀Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov announced at an emergency Security Council meeting that Ukrainian advances into the Kursk region have been halted, with Ukrainian forces suffering 315 casualties (100 killed and the rest wounded) and losing 54 vehicles, including 7 tanks. The operation aims to defeat the enemy and restore the Russian state border, with approximately 1,000 Ukrainian troops initially attacking the Kursk border to seize territory. REALITY ..... Ukraine attacked with 300 Troops .... Russians COPING is Hilarious 😀😀

I for one appreciate your unbiased yet expert and accurate reporting. Thank you for your work!

In the Kursk direction, Ukraine uses the tactic of harassment that has been employed against superior enemy since antiquity. It forces the enemy to disperse to protect assets and supply lines and so weakens his ability to conduct effective operations.
  • @sichere
I come here for the cat and stay for the unbiased reporting

According to Russian sources, Ukrainian DRG units have already reached the village of Korenovo, some 20-25km from the breached border.

I love your straightforwardness and refusal to be cheerleader or a propagandist much respect

Although, Biden is better than trumpet, he's a weak president. He's had Ukraine defending itself with one hand tied behind it's back for two years now and I think Ukraine might have had enough and decided that the most effective way of slowing down the front lines on the South and East is to invade and hold russian territory. I think russia will make getting back that territory more important than it's continued push into Ukraine if this is done right. With that ground situation, if Ukraine can hold the high ground and get it reinforced than this might be a good tactic in order to force russia to rotate it's troops weakening the front line.
