I think this was the most difficult match for Spain to win, even harder than against Germany in the semifinal, because Paraguay’s defence was incredibly good in this World Cup.

I miss this paraguay team they were badass not that tactical but they would still take on the best toe to toe.. if cabanas would had played this world cup I think paraguay would had taken it. Really I mean it this team was scary

I'm Brazilian but Paraguay is one of my favorite national teams. Their players are so determined, focused, disciplined...and they defend so well. Such a small country but with a brave national team. They deserved to win this game, so sad.

Even though we can complain about VAR, look at what it was like before we had it. Paraguay were huge underdogs and had a chance to beat the favorites for the World Cup but lost because of a faulty refereeing decision.

I can tell that this was the hardest game in the entire tournament for us. Holland was easier, Germany was easier, Portugal was easier...but Paraguay was SO tough
