3 years for sunscreens - thank you; that's two years longer than I thought.

There are exceptions as to how long things last. A carbon monoxide detector woke us up one night after the furnace failed it had been in the house at least 15 years behind a dresser, that we had totally forgotten about. Had it not gone off and woke us up trying to figure out what the noise was, we would have as my mother would say, woke up dead

100% mineral sunscreens don't really expire. Zinc and titanium don't expire. That being said, the delivery chemicals may degrade. If your sunscreen feels gritty, toss it since it won't disperse correctly on your skin.
