As we await the release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2,I thought it would be fun taking a close look at the reveal video to see what can be found. This resulted in several observations and speculations that should hold us over until more details about the game are revealed. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a medieval RPG game set in 15th century Bohemia, developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver.

Bergau the betrayer.💀 The winged creature(fish) symbol is theirs as mentioned by @afiiik1. The KCD codex also states he was punished after Wenceslas came back to power.

Henry getting captured, beaten up and rescued by the love of his life. First Theresa and now Hans
  • In a very recent Czech interview, Viktor Bocan (the Lead Technical Designer) said that they had created two combat systems depending on the weapons, similar to what was said in the IGN interview. It was implied that the longsword had a much greater complexity compared to axes and maces. They had also mentioned elsewhere where they really said they wanted to reward more aggressive combat rather than waiting for master strikes. Also, notice in the trailer how the attacks with swords, which look like combo finishers and master strikes, are not in response to an attack and are not preceded by attacks. So it seems like they are neither traditional parries or combos like in KCD1. Good catch on the Jan Zizka thing, I hadn't seen anyone make that connection before. Lastly, when you look up Hans (Jan Ptáček of Pirkstein), the coat of arms (on wikipedia) is very similar to the one in the game so maybe there's some nuance in the heraldry here.

This game is going to be absolutely amazing

the heraldry is a white bird on a red field - its the Berkov sigil, he is the guy residing at Trosky where you are suppossed to deliver the letter Also the heraldry on the shield (that you said is Rattay) is actually the sigil of the lords of Leipa (páni z Lipé in czech).

The torture scene chould have been a flash back because that guy beat him up last time

Great job spotting Zizka in the reveal. Completely missed it myself, but I'm convinced it's him since they gave him the scar as well.
  • @SULLIEDASP
I think it is him but it looks like the guy Henry duels but also gives Sir Capon a drink and is fighting alongside Henry
  • @RyanG0899
Jan Zizka being in the game is a big deal.
  • @afiiik1
I don't know if it's any use to anybody but the pond from the trailer is Vežický rybník AKA Věžák located 3.1 km away from Trosky.

I feel like the coath of arms with the three towers could very well belong to the city of Prague, which would make sence. And the bit with Žižka could also be true, because i remember Vávra posting a picture with historian Petr Čornej like a year and a half ago, and he wrote a book about Žižka´s life, that is considered to be probably the most accurate one.

There is some good information here. When you were talking about the guy with the mustache I immediately said " Jan Siska!"
  • @Lattrodon
We will probably go to Kuttenberg a few days or weeks after the Trosky castle section in the main story and then after that we will go back and forth between the two areas
  • @matttondr9282
The emblems do not match because the ones you found are the modern day, redesigned variants. Also the town's ownership might have changed over the centuries so even if the modern design is consistent with the historical one, it might be that of a different noble family or related to something else. Also, in a Czech interview, the developers have said that the combat system will only use 4 directions instead of 5 and that it was redesigned to reward aggressive play, likely meaning that master strikes have been adjusted. Sounds very optimistic to me! The devs also said that overall, the sequel was designed with a focus on better accessibility, making the game's systems and mechanics easier to get into BUT without removing the depth and complexity. It should still be challenging and rewarding. (And bows will continue to have no reticle) After hearing that, I am confident that they understood the shortcomings of the first game and made an effort to improve it.
  • @afiiik1
The winged fish symbol belongs to the Lords of Bergau (páni z Bergova) - the new owners of Trosky castle
  • @matttondr9282
I just noticed that the coat of arms with the three towers and a gate, that you found matches for, matched two towns in Moravia. Could it possibly belong to Margrave Jobst? There was talk of a betrayal and he is known for not being trustworthy and switching allegiance, as Radzig and co. told us at the end of KCD1.
  • @ayronnehned
Newly, the fight should not start from a five-pointed star, but from a four-pointed one. This should make it easier. There should be more combos.
  • @spokeshave5415
There are about 4 podcasts with the developers in czech, so you can't understand it. But they told that the combat system is going through changes. All the different weapon types have their ownn motion capture movements (even polearms) Viktor Bocan also said that the master strikes are gone and will be replaced by something much more fun. If you have any other questions I'm all ears.
