In this super quick video, I show you how you can make your windows open in a different way to allow you to clean them from INSIDE! You might already know how to do this, but I certainly didn't.. Hopefully this little trick will help you too! :)

If your window is sticky I’d recommend this - Silicone by WD-40 Specialist - amzn.to/3u5MkbK

You don't need to press the clip... once the window is opened to 90°the clip will disengage automatically then you slide it across with them nico hinges

Omfg!!! I have got the exact same type of windows and I've been trying to clean the bloody things from the inside....unsuccessfully! Thank you so much for tip about the little clip thingy, now I can clean these bastards without falling out of the sodding window. Cheers 🙂💛
  • My windows don't have that clip, but I can see the runners and I'm pondering as to how to release mine from it's present position....
  • I am so glad to have found this site and I have the exact windows, but really struggling to get the clip open on the top, any suggestions greatly appreciated....

Great video. Would you show us how you actually clean the windows in the next video please👍.
  • Terrible system, you feel like the windows is broken. I have a silly system with this on once side and the other automatically creates that spaces for cleaning when open. So stupid.

After having lived in Germany, I find the British windows very badly designed. Opening outwards can catch the wind/rain etc. Most German houses have windows that open inwards [tilt inwards with the top open a few inches- for ventilation, or open completely on one side so you can clean them]. My second floor windows have them here in England, why they didn't do it to the rest is beyond me [@previous owner]. They are due for a change so will incorporate the German way then.

Thanks for this fantastic and informative video. I used this trick recently to slide the window across to replace the old rubber seal on the upstairs windows. Made it a breeze 🫡
