  • If Bach were alive today, he would say that this is the way he wrote this piece to be played. Perfect pace!

Can't help but think Bach had a great sense of humor.
  • A piece which usually strikes terror into the hearts of those contemplating it, but absolutely steam-rollered by someone with Jonathan's technique. Many thanks. (And, by the way, to the nit-pickers out there, it is NOT too fast(!))
  • J.S.Bach played this, Jonathan plays and has fun at the same time. How much capacity. Gorgeous! Okay! Got a score of 10. 👍🙌👏🎶
  • @kscamm
Amazing: the man that wrote it and the man that plays it.
  • A wonderful example of Jonathan Scott at his brilliant best! Thank you for that amazing rendition.
  • @OperaNut
Absolutely magnificent performance. That pedalling!! 👏👏👏👏👏
  • Relentless! Breathtaking ! Impecable Jonathan! You are great. Thanks again.
  • @scottdunavent
Thank you! So nice to hear it played at an exciting tempo, not a funeral procession!
  • Thanks Jonathan and Tom for uploading this piece on this wet day in the Netherlands!
  • Hello! Bach would be proud of you Jonathan fantastic! Thanks very much! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Wow! This is one of my all-time favorites. Thank you so much!
  • Jonathan and the pipe organ enjoyed a good workout, and both are in absolute top form! BRAVISSIMO to Jonathan and Dr Tom for another wonderful mini concert: aurally and visually a joy!!
  • I absolutely love this piece! Well played as always Jonathan!😁👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

I’m not sure i’ve heard this since “punishing” our local church organist with it as a request for my wife and I to leave the church to. He did blanche at the request, and nervously cautioned about the “technical limitations” of the very modest instrument. But he gave it a great performance on the day and this exceptional recording brings back great memories!
  • @gvlbud
From another organist not nearly as fine as Jonathon, this is PERFECTION!!!
  • @MrAsBBB
Merry Christmas to everyone and the Scott brothers! Happy New Year to you and all the subscribers!
  • @blindpugh12
Many thanks John and Tom for brightening up what is a dull (weather wise) day. Beautiful music!
