Shortly after this interview, Madonna had Weird Al assassinated at a 1985 music awards show.

Crazy that shortly after this interview, Weird Al would go on to win the award for 'Perhaps Not Technically the Best but Arguably the Most Famous Accordion Player in an Extremely Specific Genre of Music', but would be assassinated by Madonna after receiving it, leaving him to enjoy the benefits from achieving his lifetime goal for only a few short moments.... RIP Al, you a real one

This hits different after hearing what went down between the two of them….RIP AL. You’ll live forever in our hearts….😉

We need more of these interviews. They’re amazing.

I didn’t realize he was doing these fake interviews that long ago. Bravo sir!!
-
Can you imagine how different it would be now to have Al interviewing folks? Even just normal interviews would be remarkable

I really wish Al would start doing these interviews again!
-
Madonna Ciccone is still at large. RIP Al.
-
It's not too late for Madonkovic to take the musical world by storm
-
I think every interview should have the question, "I've done some research, and you've never taken a bus trip to Boise, Idaho. Why is that?"
-
Al is a national treasure!!!! Truly one of the most talented people of all time!!!!
-
My God, the chemistry between these two.. the power couple of our time!!
-
Rip Al. He went out a hero after defeating Pablo Escobar. He will be missed.
-
This was a joy to watch Al. Please release more vintage interviews you did. We need more.

-

Al predicted Madonna’s role as Breathless Mahoney in Dick Tracy almost a decade before the film adaptation hit theaters!

Weird Al for me growing up in the 80's was a reminder to always have fun. To not take oneself too seriously. I subscribe to this today and it's saved me a world of pain through the years as well as helped develop my own sense of humor. I had a hard Father (still do, but he's older and more tired now) and the notion of keeping things as light as possible, especially during dark times, molded my abilities to tell myself jokes and push through. Today, I share them with as many people as I can. Life is hard enough, amiright? Thank you, Al, for representing us "Weirdo's" in the best way possible. Through art and your own personal genius. xoxo (Edit: OH AND SEE THE MOVIE!! FREE ON THE ROKU CHANNEL!)
