A Romanian here …echoing what plenty of others said before me. Superb interpretation of a song belonging to the Romanian musical heritage. Besides the original song of the Queen of the Romanian “Muzică Lăutărescǎ”- Romica Puceanu , included on a LP vinyl disk in 1975 by the Romanian label Electrecord, this cover by Ladaniva is by far my favorite. While I don’t listen often from this musical genre, I was seduced by Jackline’s warm voice and the fusion, jazzy vibe of the interpretation that was suggested right from the start : « Epa, Epa! Comme ça, Comme ça! Auu, Auu! Ooppaa! Brrr-rrrr! » Jackeline’s pronunciation of the Romanian lyrics is very good, so good that initially I thought that she is one of ours 😀 Here are the lyrics (in Romanian): ——- De te-ar bate, neică, bate,
