“There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”
  • Plague Marine: “it will take many boltgun rounds to kill me” Salamander: “I’m counting on it”
  • “The mind is a sharp blade. Do not, point it inwards.” That’s actually sound advice on so many levels.
  • Salamander: "I will destroy the heretics that did this" Other Salamander: "In this venture, you will have my flamer" Lamenter: "And my bolter" Space Wolf: "And my axe" Ork: "And my choppa!" Salamander: "Thank you, I-wait a minute, an ork?" Ork: "I'd like ta fight da spikey boyz too"
  • The death of that plague marine will be so gruesome that even the World Eaters will ask the Salamander to chill.

Firstborn Veteran teaching Primaris Marines a lesson- glorious

"You did not just kill that child, a mere child. But in the face of their bright eyes, you killed their hope. They believed in you, due to my involvement. And because of my lack there of, they were left to your will. Now you will be left, without mercy to my wrath. Without hope, to my fire. Without strength, to my fury. You will be left in nothing, for I will leave nothing left for you to hold a bright eye's glance to. You killed my little one, as she clutched to her little space marine, to her hope, to her mother's hand, to her last breath.......I want you to grasp the understanding, traitor.....I will turn your lungs into fire, and the air you clutch to, into char and burning smoke. I will melt your throat so any roar of pain or mercy will be lost to your indignity. I will make my penance, skinned from your torment. For every measure of suffering you forced that child, my reminder for my very purpose; I will draw out in uncounting number of restitution, from you..... I am not a Salamander today. They save, they burn. I.......Won't." -A Salamander's Vengeful Oath

“Why are you afraid, Son of Mortarian? Why do you cower? I came all this to find you, after all. As your heretic kin would say, I have come for you.”
  • @Luis519RS
Horrible reality is that if the plague marine outright killed them it probably did saved them from a much worse fate at the hands of Grandfather Nurgle's plagues and whatever other horrors roamed the streets.

"Do you remember when Night Lord Primarch Konrad Curze had to run for safety to the Warp because he got Decimated by my father Vulcan for torturing him ? Let me reenact that moment but 11 times more brutal"
  • @bd5317
Now that heretic got on a salamander's hit list, its always the nicest one that can bring unbridled fury.
  • @Truck_Kun_Driver
"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend"
  • Let's be real, salamanders, lamenters, n reasonable marines are the true chapter humanity needs
  • @siradjjager
I just love how the comic became colored the second the salameder understood the words of his captain
  • One of the things that a lot of people forget is that while Salamanders are generally good guys, each one carries a piece of Vulkan's rage inside them, too. Salamanders do not shy from experiencing all manner of human emotions, to better connect them with the people they serve. And there are few emotions more human than vengeance.

This story alone was already tearing me up... then by the end. He walked into the fire. He could have thrown it, held it or place it into it, but no. He walked into the blaze to stay with her till the very end... Emperor Damn... Salamanders hit hard.
  • @Rapture-nv5vj
Let this be a reminder, why Salamanders are the best chapter. VULKAN LIVES!
  • @mobiusZero2
The difference between the first born and the primaris. The veteran passing the wisdom, horrors and the duty. The young must go through the trails of fire
  • @LanChiaoPeng
Vulkan made your hearts and backs the same - strong to bear all burdens for His sake. And he made your fists like his anvil - hard beyond all measure, for the smiting of heretics.
  • @H010CR0N
Never thought a Warhammer comic would make me tear up, but you made that happen. Good job, you bastard.
