He's on the wrong coast! Montego Bay is on the north coast and Beryl is passing to the south of Jamaica.

In Spanish town, St Catherine just on and off light rain. Slight breeze but seems like a regular rain day.

You know, these big early storms are actually doing what all TS do. They pull heat out of the surface waters and lift it way up into the 30 thousand elevation of the atmosphere and that cools the heat very well. The TS action is like a giant Air Conditioner. I wonder if we have enough big early storms, if the effect will be to cool the surface ocean waters and possible decrease the severity of later in the season storms?

I'm sure it will get worse, but those waves are ankle biters. Having said that, I hope everyone will stay safe. BTW--when you're acknowledging that more people might be dead, don't say "get this." It's not a statistic we should be happy about or even amused by.
