So these guys have been allegedly towing cars illegally for years and they’re only being investigated now because of insurance fraud? The question is, why were they allowed to stay in business for so long with so many complaints against them?
  • @EliChristman
(Potentially) "barred from doing business for the next five years." How about all cars released, all tow trucks confiscated and sold. No future business licences or towing certifications for the owners or any of their employees. Forever.
  • "permanently for the next 5 years" should be "permanently" or "temporarily for the next 5 years" This government beaurocrat is contradicting himself.
  • "Permanently...for the next five years" that city attorney is a joke
  • Here's the thing barring a towing company from doing business that they were doing illegally in the first place isn't going to do good cuz all they have to do is switch their company names.
  • Oh that's why. They were stealing from an insurance company. You can't steal from the rich in this country. But they can steal from you.
  • “Permanently barred from doing business with the city for the next five years.” That is not permanent.
  • Good. Now, sort out Roadway Towing on Olive Avenue in Vista, CA, and DriveNow Auto Inc. out of Delaware operating with a stolen BAR license
  • @awclewis
let me guess... a politician got towed, and all hell broke lose?
  • That's beyond wild trying to tow a car while the person is driving it!! Wtf??!! Diabolocal!! I can't with the people of 2024

The tow truck trying to hook the car in traffic? The driver should've called 9-1-1 to report he was being kidnapped.

Investigate Jacal Towing Company in Oakland.
  • What took them so long? After seeing the video that showed one of their drivers trying to hook up a car in traffic with people in it, they should have been shut down that day.
  • Did they ever catch the guy who tried to tow a car with people in it?
