Note: When freezing a regular horse you wanna tame, don't use a really strong bow for freezing or you'll kill the thing.

Fun fact! There are actually ‘metallic’ horses irl. They’re called Akhal Teke horses, it’s a breed, and the shaft of their hair is translucent, which results in the horse being so shiny it does look like metal or crystal. If you’ve seen the copypost of the ‘world’s most beautiful horse’ with a cream-coloured supermodel-looking horse, he’s a Teke. Zelda’s golden horse looks a lot like one.

Thanks for including Spot. I found him by accident and was surprised to not see any info about the horse. There are also skeletal horses in the Depths that are unaffected by gloom.

I wish the Giant White Stallion had its own unique saddle. The red and brown giant horse saddle with the gerudo gems is so clearly decorated to look like Ganondorf's aesthetic, it looks a little out of place on the white horse.

I found Zelda’s golden horse without starting the quest itself. Once bringing the horse back Penn was saying I stole all his thunder 🤣

When you get Spot, you unlock his color pattern onto other horses. If you stay in Hyrule Field, and reload your game after coming across a herd, you can find different colors of the pattern on other horses! There’s a pink one, brown one, blue one, ETC. all beige with spots like Spot. (cannot find a purple spotted horse so i think the colors are limited unfortunately)!!

Just because it wasn’t mentioned in Video, if you go to Malanya in tears of the Kingdom (north east), not only can they revive dead horses, but they can boost the stats in exchange for meals. Can’t adjust horses like Epona, but you can make Zelda’s white horse, 5’s across the board easily.

I didn't realize horses imported, I spawned in an Epona before I first visited the stables. Now I have two Epona... very unique.

9:15 fun fact, you can get the energizing elixir when you start the quest by talking to her again as a way to help you to tame the horse

I love the immersion of your horses carrying over and not being able to obtain the special horses when your save carries over.

I was so caught off-guard when i realized that BoTW horses got carried over to ToTK. That actually made my day. I also ran into golden horse while exploring and since it looked unique, I tamed it and went to nearest stable asap which happened to be the quest location. The NPC's reaction was so good when they mentioned a missing horse and realize i'm literally mounting it right before their eyes lmao.

I still don't understand why they didn't just put Epona in this game as a secret horse you could find or acquire somehow. I get you could use an amiibo to get one in breath of the wild, but they made most of the amiibo Awards findable in the game itself, so I'm not sure why they didn't think to just allow us to go through a series of quests to obtain Links original horse

I love Spot, he’s got a pattern like a leopard-patterned Appaloosa. That’s my favorite ever horse pattern, so I’ll be spending a lot of time enhancing Spot. Also? He looks really cool in the Extravagant Equipment. As for the golden horse? I expected a Palomino. NOT metallic gold lol.

I like to think that the Golden Horse is actually the Royal White Stallion from the previous game, but he turned golden likely as a result of his fur somehow responding to the Upheaval.

I was flying thru the snow fields to get to the memory there and hadnt even gotten or heard of the quest for the gold horse and i was SO EXCITED to see that without spoilers. That was one of the coolest ones to find on accident.

As someone who played BOTW on Wii U, it's nice to see I can still get Zelda's white horse. I used it all the time, and the golden one hurt my eyes a little bit.
