CORUSCANT

Coruscant, also known as Imperial Center during the rule of the Galactic Empire, was an ecumenopolis—a city-covered planet, collectively known as Galactic City— in the Coruscant system of the Core Worlds. Though debated by historians, it was generally believed that Coruscant was the original homeworld of humanity.

Noted for its cosmopolitan culture and towering skyscrapers, Coruscant's population consisted of approximately one trillion citizens hailing from a vast array of both humanoid and alien species. In addition, Coruscant's strategic location at the end of several major trade routes enabled it to grow in power and influence, causing the city-planet to surpass its early rivals and become the hub of galactic culture, education, finance, fine arts, politics and technology.

Disclaimer: I incorporate a lot of audio and visual editing into my ambient videos, including compositing artwork from multiple sources, animating still frames, and copious amounts of sound design. These ambient pieces are not official to their respective franchises, but merely inspired by them. These NO MUSIC versions are great! Please keep them coming!

I love listening to this audio while I sleep, imagining that I’m tucked into an upper-floor republic-era apartment with the sky traffic lanes humming softly outside my window. It’s very soothing and sets the perfect mood!

My dream is to have one in the Clone Force 99 barracks on Kamino, listening to the distant drum of rain outside the windows as the rest of the boys sleep and rustle around either idly fixing things or just sleeping. That would be so peaceful

Ugh why can't we live in a world like that today.
  • @eric.schall
This one continues to be the "Gold Standard" in study ambience

I'd love to have lunch with Obi-Wan in this city. My favourite character. Thanks for this stunning reproduction.

We need an extended, 10-hour version of this video! Lucid, please make it happen. All I can do, is chill here longer.
  • @SoccerCoachAT
These are cool. I'd love to see a Kasshyyyk or Forest Moon ambient track...

Home, there's no place like it in the entire galaxy.

Sheev has an expansive view of Coruscant's skyline through the wide window behind him in his office. The sound of the starships is so relaxing.
  • @romasliv

  • I genuinely can't thank you enough for creating this. I am autistic - something pretty much no one knows about me. Although I am hypersensitive to most of my senses (namely lights and food texture), I am hyposensitive to sound: meaning (and this is my personal experience), if I don't hear anything, I - for lack of better wording - start to freak out. I am listening to music of some sort nearly 24/7 and often feel untethered and unable to focus when I am not actively hearing something. Some days I need a lot of stimulation - phonk and hyperpop playlists are best for this - and some days I need a lot less stimulation. I cannot stand white noise, brown noise, pink noise whatever they call it - it's awful! There's nothing to it, nothing to focus on with just awful static noises. This means that on low-stimulation days I usually seek out rain noises, or something organic like that, but even then they are never quite what I need. I genuinely cannot thank you enough for this video. This is the BEST ambient I have found - the best background noise that sounds organic but brings none of the yucky feelings that wet rain noises sometimes give me. It's a type of bliss that I cannot explain and keeps me tethered like nothing else. Thank you so much!!
