CP train #142, a daily Chicago, IL to Montreal train with mostly intermodal traffic, blasts westbound through the Beaurepaire sector of Beaconsfield, QC, on approach to CP’s yard at Lachine. The power was a total surprise, with military tribute SD70ACU #7023 (honoring Canada/US air forces) leading, and sister #7022 (honoring Canada/US navy vessels) running as the mid-train DPU. I’d been hearing a lot about CP’s new heritage and military scheme ACUs coming frequently to Montreal, though up to this point had yet to properly catch one on camera. With a pair on this train, I couldn’t have asked for much better!
