A great day hike starting at the Johnsondale Bridge and heading north along the Kern River. The final mile of the trail leaves the Kern River and heads up a canyon to meet up with the Rincon Trail. With all of the mountain peaks still covered in snow this side canyon still had lots of water flowing which made for a fantastic climb. Overall the trail is fairly rocky and overgrown in a few spots but well worth the trip.
