  • It’s so cool to see authors on these kind of shows that are usually reserved for actors and musicians. Judy Blume generally impacted so many of our lives, and it’s so cool to see her getting some recognition.

No childhood is complete without Judy Blume Beverly Cleary Paula Danziger
  • I am from India and Judy Blume was my favourite childhood author. My mother's best friend was from the USA and every year I used to receive these wonderful packages filled with delightful books, Judy's featuring the most. My love for her started with the Fudge series then I went on to Iggy's house to Starring Sally J. Fieldman as Herself to Just As Long As We Are Together and so many more. Even though I was a kid in a small town in India in the 90s these characters spoke to me and Judy became an unseen friend who wrote about topics adults shied away from discussing and who didn't talk down at me. I have a bright-eyed almost-seven year old now and it has been a great joy to introduce her to the wonderful world of Peter, Fudge and Shiela and to see her cackling loudly or chuckling to herself as she falls in love with them.

Every girl in the 80s loved Judy and also tried “ I must, I must, I must increase my bust” 😂❤ She talked about periods, growing boobs and other things that no one else wrote about and it “normalised” things we felt so weird, awkward and alone about. Thank you Judy 🙏

This movie blew me away as a girl dad. My oldest is 11. So this hit close to home. It had everything, it pissed me off, it made me. Laugh uncontrollably, and I cried when they did. This movie Is FLAWLESS. I've never read the book and plan to now. And I can imagine it is a flawless adaptation. Thank you Judy Blume and to everyone e involved into making this masterpiece. This film is now one of my favorite movies of all time, it's right up there with Breakfast at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn 💜

I wrote to her when I was a kid in the 70's and she wrote back. I have my mom searching for that letter, but I fear it may be long gone. To think that she still has MY letter is amazing!!!

When I was 13yrs old I found Judy Bloom’s book, ‘ Are You There God, It’s me, Margaret” in my grandmother’s room. I laid on the floor next to her bed and read the first few chapters, and then snuck the book home with me until I finished it and then suck it back to her house. looking back at it, I wonder if my grandmother and my mother had planted that book there for me to Leeds they would not have to have a talk with me. Either way, glad I found it.

I’m over here grinning from ear to ear watching my whole childhood on screen. This is beautiful to see. It would be so cool if JB could write a follow-up about what happens to the body/mind of our favorite Margaret 40 years later, as she transitions to menopause. That would be uproarious! Lol

I love her so much. Read so many of her books growing up. So happy for her. 💛

I read all of her books when I was in middle school in the 80s. Thank you so much Judy Blume. Your books meant so much to me. Can't wait to see this movie.
  • Cant wait to see it. I read the book in grade 3 and still have it on my bookshelf. Judy has always been one of my-all time favourite author.
  • Retired Children's Libraian here, one of the highlights of my career was getting to hear Judy speak at the Key West Literary Festival and getting to meet her afterwards🤗
  • I loved her books as a kid. I plan to see Are You There God It’s Me Margaret this weekend. I’m excited to see it.
  • @WriterSnider
I love her! She made me feel normal in my early awkward teen years.

This author’s books was such a great source of comfort and joy for me as young girl. I read them all. It was so cool because my mother read them too and then we discuss it. What sweet memories. So nice to see and here her speak.
