    In conditions like austrailia- Lyon

For the first time a good comparison by ECB!!

One of the best orthodox spin bowling ever seen. Full appreciation to Eng. and Aus. cricket for maintaining prefect spin and pace combinations, talking about the action and techniques in general.

Swann on his day was the better spinner. England have never really replaced him unfortunately.

Finally a fair comparison.swanny was probably a more difficult one to pick but gazza's overspin and bounce is unbeatable. So I'll go with Gary boi
  • Probably Gazza just because he’s more consistent, and without doubt better in Australian conditions. Although Swann was likely a more gifted off spinner, good comparison.

Graeme Swann at any day 😎 He drifts the ball so well and makes the maximum use of the pitch...he's inarguably the best spinner England has ever produced... Lyon too is a good spinner, but I would rate him next to Swann...✌️
  • Swan had a period where he was one of the best bowlers in the world! Lyon's been consistently good, but never too 'great' in my opinion. He is the best at the moment, but spin is at an all-time low right now!

    Showing good Swann balls...
shows his massive full toss that flew down leg and was missing in a different set of stumps

Swann gets it. Lyon is way too expensive.
Swann was a really devilish spinner who could turn entire matches. And had some good success against India, who play spin really well.
So yeah, Graeme Swann all day.

Nathan is my pick,he can add extra pressure in Australian conditions

I think swan seems to a good choice as he is capable batsman down the order . His batting in odi vs india 2011
  • All I'm saying is that in a fight a swan could fly away and then attack from the skies. However if i lion crept upon the swan and ate it then its tough to say who wins.

Swann for sure. Swann had revived the art of of spin bowling when Saqlain and Murli retired. ICC is on mission to ban off spinners all over the world. Off spiner is the beauty of ODIs.
