Gemma Collins, AKA the GC, is well known for appearing on a whole host of reality TV shows after first hitting our screens on The Only Way Is Essex in 2011. Today though, Gemma joins us to discuss a much more personal and important topic. Gemma has experienced urinary incontinence for as long as she can remember. And she’s not alone with 1 in 3 women also struggling every day with incontinence. Gemma joins us on the sofa to share her experiences of incontinence and why she wants to empower women to talk more openly about the topic and break down taboos.

  • Every time anyone has spoke about pelvic floor exercises i automatically start doing them ! Anyone ??😂

I’m sorry Gemma is going through this, usually more common for women who have had pregnancies. I was suffering the same, I was mortified. It was every day. Then, I lost 5 stone, and like a miracle … no more incontinence. A year later and I’m still incontinence free. So, just wondering, if weight loss might help Gemma. X
  • Unfortunately this is something a lot of women suffer from, i suffered in silence for many years, but it is a good thing that it is now spoken about more freely, we need someone like Gemma Collins to raise awareness, yes, she is loud and over dramatic, but we need this to stop it being a taboo subject. The adverts that are on tv at the moment, are a much more subtle way of raising awareness

I nearly wet myself laughing when Gemma said she thought she was dying! 😂

"Then OBVIOUSLY I did my RESEARCH and 1 in 55% of women are experiencing this" 😂
  • Dermot’s face when he asked “100 good Doc” 😫🤣😫🤣 I love Gemma, what a hoot!! Always looks very glamorous and wears beautiful colours!!
  • “ I thought I was pregnant and my waters broke “ jeeeeesus girl, really?? Why is everything so much worse for GC .

Don’t think anyone has died through wetting themselves…
  • She’s so funny and honest. Love how sweet Alison and Dermot are during this interview. Bring back Gemma to our tv screens!
  • It's literally proven obesity puts pressure on everything, including your bladder. I can't take any advice off someone who's not a healthy weight.

The way she explains things is hilarious!

Good on Gemma for being open & honest about it! I have tried in the past to stop mine with Pelvic Floor Exercises & it has improved but as She said, You need to keep up the the PFEs to keep it in check! I wear Tena pads everyday! I think that Mine is Stress Incontinence! I wet my bed a while ago as I was very Anxious!! It’s not quite so bad as that anymore thankfully
  • Clean bill of health? I strongly doubt that. There's no way her GP hasn't told her she's obese.

5:32 doctor trying to explain some important info and Gemma has to interrupt to make it about herself, so self centred

I guess... Whatever gets you invited to a morning show
