  • underrated video. I much prefer this kind over those car reviews who have no idea about cars and mostly focus on whether the dashboard's made out of plastic and so on.

I have a 2010 non Skyactiv Mazda Premacy (Mazda 5). I change oil every 5,000 km or every 4 months whichever comes first. The car runs like a dream. By the way, many Japanese auto mechanic here in Japan swear Mazda engines and transmissions are very well-built and designed.

I drive a 2017 Mazda 6 and I have 245,000 miles on this car still driving like a gem!
  • Extremely boring and reliable, engine and car (mazda 3 ) had one for 9 years. Nothing went wrong with the engine ( 10,000 km oil changes ) one flat battery, one flat tyre. Bought a Peugeot , first year leaking water pump.

The timing belt was due at 240,000 km. The small Mazda 3 (2nd generation) with 2.2 l turbo diesel then continues to drive up to a quick 400,000 km. Otherwise there were the usual wearing parts that had to be replaced. But the engine lasted until it was sold. That's a lot, very little problems for actually little maintenance.

I bought mazda 6 skyactiv 2.0 2015..now 210000km mileage.. so far no issue only small issue.. service every 10000km and put deposite cleaner every time service.. oil transmission and fuel filter pump change every 100000km. And i experienced hight temp due to radiator leak.
  • Mazda cars are proven reliable cars i myself own a 2016 mazda 6 until now i have no problems with anything and my 2016 mazda 3 no problems on the engine and it has 85k miles ..

Made in Mexico 2.0L US Spec engine is very relable in 2016 auto touring sedan model. 42-44 US mpg highway on 87 octane pump gas 10% ethenol. 10 gallons of gas every month is cheap to run. 0-60mph (~100kph) in 7.5 seconds. Change the oil every 6 months as the car is driven short distances infrequently. Oil is cheap insurance against many other problems. Use fuel injector and valve cleaner to remove carbon deposits every six months. It works. DIY change the air and cabin filter every year. It is needed to keep all systems smooth. Still on OEM parts including tires and brakes at 50K US miles. Climate control flawless. Starts everytime. Will keep the car 20 years. Quiet on highway even with cheap thin carpet. Very low quality carpet have seen in a passenger vehicle. Ride is sporty and tight. No odors. No issues so far. Annoying buzz passenger side is metal plate under passenger seat. Stereo incredible. No rust. Wash Wax a few times a year. Paint still shiny, few rock chips. Garaged. No road salt here.

More efficiency by my Mazda 6 2.5l with 194 HP means easily 12l/100km. Ok, I can also drive it with 7.5l/100k. Mazda did a lot to make their engines more efficient, but to be honest, it is 100% PR.

2015 Skyactiv g mazda. Some small issues like sticky door rubbers, thin paint cannot withstand rocks also glas pitting, mirrors wont close good after a while without lubrication, left speaker blowout "known issue on internet can fix with glue" when volume bit to much bass. Driving hard all the time RPM near redzone gives noticeable bit of oil consumption so its right on the low side of the indicator stick when you have to change your oil. When driving normal fast but not too fast gives literally zero oil consumption. I change oil every 8000-10000 km. Bit hard to change from 1-2 when cold if you drive manual.

i-eloop is not only at mazda 6 because I have this on my mazda 3 skyactiv-g 165hp 2018
  • @euregiojam
Does anyone know if 2.0l Skyactive-G 165hp has the balancer shaft (balancer cartridge). In the Skyactive-G 2.5l, the balancer cartridge is mounted near the oil pump and driven by the oil pump chain. I have heard that 2.0l Skyactive-G does not have a balancer shaft. However, the versions mounted in Miata ND may have a balancer shaft. Any comments would be appreciated.
